Porky-Your show comes back on tonight!!

I know that Porky's mom said he loved to watch Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet. At the time she had posted that, the season had just finished, so Schatzi didn't get a chance to see if she liked it or not. The new season starts tonight, so we will give it a try. She likes anything with dogs in it, so maybe the meerkats are close enough. It is always entertaining for me, at least, to watch her watch TV. It's on tonight at 8:00pm EST.

Thanks Teresa!! We didn't get cable for a while and Porky really missed his show.  Since we moved in with my mom and dad we have been letting him catch up.   I'm not sure he'll be too interested this year since his favorite one to watch isn't on the show anymore.  We'll try it out and see.   Its really odd how interested he is in that show!   :thinik:    His favorite character was Flower. He would try to lick the tv screen and listened intently when she was on.   :crazyeyes: 

I have noticed him interested in other shows, he likes to listen to CNN when we are gone.     Somehow it comforts him. I think because of the talking, it makes me feel like he's not alone.   Also he shows some interest in the Dog Whisperer.  As soon as he hears Ceasar's voice he runs and hides under the couch!!      Another one he likes to watch is Emergency vets.     

And, don't worry, he doesn't get to watch all his shows.  I would hate to get reported for promoting dog obesity and laziness.     He is only allowed to watch one half hour of tv a week.   I'm sure if we let him he would watch all day.

Hey Porky I like CNN too, my favorite person is Erica Hill.  I can be sound asleep and as soon as she comes on I wake up - she shows some great animal videos sometimes.  One night they had a baby bear on that kept falling asleep.  Momma kept saying AWWWWWWWWW the whole time.

Ya know, Porky-Man, Cesar is the best guy in da world!  He really understands us puppers!  He always says dat trainin' dogs is easy - it's tainin' da hoomans dat's da problem! 

And Emergency Vets?  Auntie Karen says you'd better pay attenshun.  Dat's da kind of stuff dat happens when a pupper doesn't listen to da hooman's rules - bad news!!  Me, I'm not tryin' any of dat EBER!!!

She loves it! We are 30 minutes into it and she hasn't taken her eyes off the screen yet (except when it was nighttime nad they just showed scenery. She looked at me like I should do something). I have it on the Tivo, so I'm fast-forwarding through the commercials. This is so fun to watch. Randy says they look like short-nosed dachshunds! I'm going to have to start recording the Dog Whisperer. I never think about watching it when he is on or else I'm not on, but Tivo is great.

Tell Porky that Animal Planet has made a movie on the life of Flower.  They are playing it now.  It is call Meerkat Manor, The Beginings (something like that).  I watched it last night and enjoyed it very much.  They then played "Making of the Meerkat Manor".  It was good too.

  Porky is still into it! We missed the movie about Flower, because well....I simply forgot to watch it.     I think we'll buy it for Porky from their website.

"The Beginnings" is the one I have on Tivo. Randy has now told everyone about Schatzi and the Meerkats. It was quite amazing. Now I'll just Tivo it each week for awhile and entertain us both!
