Saturday -- Patty didn't sleep much last NIGHT..was nauseous this morning.   Was given medicine with IV to take care of this.  She slept for a couple of hours.....was able to drink some orange juice and ate a muffin.  Dan said she looked pretty good.  Her throat is sore (which is understandable!)  The nausea delayed her discharge from the hospital...Dan called before they left the hospital...said Patty dozed all the way home.  He called again when they got home.  Patty went right to bed -- taking a can of Dr. Thunder (Wal-Mart's Dr. Pepper!!).

The doctor gave Patty some prescriptions  -- I think Valium was one of them --

We will not go over to the house today -- Patty doesn't need any company!  And, PLEASE DON'T CALL HER UNTIL I GET THE WORD FROM PATTY.

You can email or call me for any further information because Dan will keep me informed.

Sunday -- Patty called me this morning!! She is still very tired and weak -- nausea seems to be gone -- has some meds to take care of the nausea.  Also prescribed Valium for pain.  Had some applesauce and diced pears this morning.

Her throat is sore when swallowing..also has soreness in her upper back at the surgery site.  Her arm does not hurt!

She was told not to lift anything, or twist her head.  She wears a soft collar during the day but doesn't have to wear it at night.

We will not go over today so she can get more rest...she will call me later this afternoon or this evening.  It was so good to hear her voice!

DIANA -- I will give Patty your message...you may even hear from her before next weekend!

BARB -- Thanks for keeping the dachshund friends informed...Patty appreciates all the prayers and concerns on her behalf.

I had a feeling the nausea would be a problem. She had trouble with the pain meds after the injection. something that might not bother her  Glad to hear the nausea is better, and most of all, glad to hear the arm pain is GONE!!! That makes it all worth it. She'll be feeling a lot better in a couple of days, once the effects of the anesthesia get out of her system. I'm sure Willy and Alex are doing their part and they are better than anything else.

Thanks for the updates.  It is good to know that Patty is doing well, and that her arm pain is gone.  Continued healing rays for her speedy recovery.

Yea for Auntie Patty!!

We could be in Wasilla in six or seven weeks if you need us.  Merlin is stalking Auntie Karen, waitin' for the chance to make a get-away!

By the way, where exactly IS Wasilla?  We know the phone company doesn't know - how about UPS or FedEx?  We could mail ourselves faster than walking the whole way!
