Johanna is a very special girl indeed. A package arrived this morning meant just for her. She is very excited to see what it is!

Johanna, who has been using a wheelchair cart now for 3 years, really used and abused her cart, so she needed a replacement. Her original cart was a donation from Kathy Barton and her 4th grade class from Oklahoma. They raised the $423 needed to purchase her cart. When Kathy learned that Johanna would need another cart, her response was very quick. “We just HAVE to help her”, explained Kathy.

Kathy contacted Handicapped Pets, and they went to work right away on Johanna’s new wheels. This time the cart was paid for by a Veterinarian from Rhode Island, who was inspired after seeing an animal in a wheelchair cart paid for by Kathy and her class.

Johanna now has her second set of wheels, and she took to them just as quickly as her first set. She would like to thank the Handicapped Pets Group, Kathy Barton and her students, the generous vet from Rhode Island, and Doggon’ Wheels. Her freedom and happiness is now set for years to come!

It does a heart good to see how valuable these carts are.  No different than a person in a wheelchair.........thank God we have this alternative for our doxies who are down in the back.  Loved the photos!

I don't think they sell them. I got mine from the owners of the group to wear when appearing with Johanna. I have had it for a couple of years now.

Thanks anyway, they are cool shirts, and I love wearing t-shirts that tell about a cause.
