Hi Everyone,

Kelly's (DH) father passed away suddenly yesterday.  He was only 55.  We think it was a heart attack, but the ME is doing an autopsy today and will call us with the results this afternoon.  This is just a total shock.  While there is a history of heart related problems in his family, the only medical problem that Kelly's father had was high blood pressure.  He ate a very good diet and took care of himself.  We'll be heading up to Minnesota in the middle of the week for the funeral.  Chilie is staying with my dad.  We dropped her off last night because we were visiting my parents for the weekend when we got the call.  Kelly was expecting to leave for Minnesota today because he thought we'd have to take care of the arrangements.  It looks like the family took care of everything already.  I just can't believe this.  I am so sad for my husband.  While we didn't get to see my father-in-law very often, it was always fun when he came to town, and Lara just adored him.  It just crushes Kelly that Lara will not get to know her grandpa.  If you can spare some rays for my husband and his family, I would really appreciate it.

These last two months have been quite a challenge for our family.  My uncle passed away suddenly of a heart attack on March 28th.  He was only 64.  That devastated my dad and shocked our family.  Then, in the middle of April, Kelly got word that he was losing his job.  The past month has been spent looking for a new job.  The bright spot in all this is that Kelly did find a new job....he got an offer early last week.  He is supposed to start the first week of June, but now with the death of his father, it will probably be delayed.  I am also working part time, and I enjoy my new job as well.  Lara is going to a babysitter for the two days that I work, and she is adjusting very well.  She adores her babysitter, who happens to be a neighbor just down the street, and it makes me feel better to know that she's in good hands.  I think that was harder on me than it was on her!

Thank you all for rays and prayers.  It is comforting to me to know that I can come here for support.  I appreciate and love my Wiener Writings family.

Sincerely,
Beth

Kari

We are sad to hear of the passing of Kelly's dad and your uncle.  Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.  I'm sad that Lara will not have her Grandpa there as she grows older, but she will get to know him better as she grows older by hearing Kelly's memories of his dad.  Godspeed to Kelly's Dad.  Hugs to you and your family.  Dee, Dave, Sarge, & Duggie

Beth - that is such tragic news of your FIL passing.  Sending rays and prayers in full force for Kelly and all of the family.  It is never easy - but he was way too young.  You have all had a rough couple months - will keep you in my prayers that things smooth out for all of you.  Take care of you - hugs to all of you.

I am so sorry to hear of the losses in your family.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.   It is so hard to lose a family member, but two so soon is twice as hard.  Keep the faith and know they loved you all.

Handle every "Situation" like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
tinkle on it and walk away.
