We know Schatzi love anything with a dog on it, but after showing Randy this, I could just tell that he is going to be surfing for a Sponge Bob show to see what she think. I could be in real trouble here....

I seem to recall as a child (yes, back in the days when dinosaurs roamed the Earth) that dogs didn't pay attention to TV.  Now, Merlin and Beau both listened to and watched the computer monitor.  They LOVED "Turner and Hooch" - a great movie with Tom Hanks and a Mastiff-type named Beasley.  I wonder if this is due to the tremendous increase in the quality of TVs.

On another note, there is one good-looking border collie girlie girl on the front of the National Geographic, about cognition in animals.  It's a great article!

that is too cute !!!!   Every once in a while Rudy will stop and watch something that is on.  Other times, he will charge the tv and bark like crazy!!!!  Other times, if a dog is barking a lot, he will go behind the tv looking for it !!!!!

Go Duggie !

I think we get National Geographic at work, I'll have to go and check it out tomorrow. Of course, at lunch tomorrow I have to show a vet (who is our patient) how to use a Prophy-jet to remove stain from a dog's teeth. He was in our office and saw ours and decided that would make his job much easier. He ordered one and now he needs someone to show him how to use it. It's really easy to use and will be easier on the dogs, too (even though they are sleeping). The prophy-jet is what we call the sandblaster. It uses a baking soda powder to clean the teeth.

Merion's Zeke used to love watching Fraggle Rock!!  He could care less about the Muppet Show, and sister and I never could figure out what the difference was!   Seems like I saw an ad or else saw the Fraggle Rock series on DVD and wished he was still around to watch!!  I would have gotten that DVD in a flash!!

My Twinkie angel did not usually bother with TV, but at times when there was a baby crying, animal crying or whining, etc then she would start looking around.  BUT what can you expect from a doxie who was trying to befriend a baby bunny in the back yard and on TWO occassions replaced her daughter Zelda in the whelping box when Zelda was gone too long!!(those last two were sorta tense moments because Zelda and Twinkie never remembered they were mother and daughter!!

Aunty,
I was just thinking about Zeke and Fraggle Rock the other Day.  I wonder if miss Zena would like it????
I will have to see if I can rent it at the video store.

OMG I almost busted a gut laughing!  My kids will bark if there's a dog or car horn beeping on the tv, but nothing like sweet Duggie.
But Franky does watch the computer when I'm sitting on the floor with my laptop.  He snaps at the screen when I move the cursor around.......he must think its a fly LOL

Oh, a doxie after my own heart!  I'll watch TV with you any time, Duggie.....I love TV! :thumb:

Dee, that picture is too cute!  It's funny seeing Sargey on the floor like, "Yeah, whatever....things are MUCH more interesting here on the floor!"

Belly rubs and kisses to both boys!

That is funny.   I like Sargey's total indifference to the TV.   The Zs could care less about TV.  Occasionally, they'll bark if they hear a doorbell on TV, but that's about it.
