My old boss' pomeranian is having back problems and may require surgery.  She is asking me if I know anyone who has had their dog see an acupuncturist?  Anyone here have experience with them?

We haven't had any direct experience with them  but I do have a friend that has taken her dog and really thought it helped with her dogs hip problems.

Mike, many people who are on Dodgerslist have had acupuncture for their pups.  It has worked wonders for many on that list!!  You can tell your boss to go to Dodgerslist and ask any and all questions they may have.  They will get wonderful advice.

Mike, Finnious has been undergoing acupuncture to keep him from having to have another surgery for about 5 months. Conrad just started having accupuncture a few weeks ago. It has done wonders for both of them thus far. I would tell your friend to go for it - there really is nothing to lose.

Thanks for the input.  I spoke with Denise tonight and it doesn't sound like it's a disc problem to me.  Pumpkin doesn't appear to be in any pain, but is losing control of her front legs.  Vet thinks maybe a stroke or maybe a tumor on the spine.  Denise is going to a neurologist for a 2nd opinion this Wednesday.
