NDR:School Shooting!

Don't know if any of you have heard about the school shooting at Northern Illinois University ! Well the school is approximately 20-25 miles from where I live! My brother in-law graduated from there in 1993!

What is happening in our society?????

A high school student shot another at a school in my brother's hometown of Oxnard.  The victim has been declared brain dead.

Five dead at Lane Bryant in Chicago.

Another shooting in Memphis.

I love wiener writings because for a few minutes every day I can escape the reality of the world outside my front door.  But it is the world I live in.

Lord, let me be the person my dachshunds think I am.  Then let me reach out to the world around me and try to make a difference.

Yes, it is a terrible thing.  A friend of one of my co-workers was one of the victims yesterday.

The world is definitely coming to a place that unfortunately people think the way to resolve things, become famous and noteworthy is to grab a gun and go shoot a bunch of people they don't know!! Not a very nice place to live I must say. I am sending rays and prayers out to families and friends of the latest shooting. So horrible.

Yikes!  My sister and brother-in-law work for a tv station in the Quad Cities, and they both have been either talking or interviewing students who were on the peripheral edge of the shootings, and some are friends with victims.  This is so horrible - my thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by this tragedy...

It shocks us to our shoes watching and makes us appriciate guns being banned here. God help all the families caught up in it.
