Eddie update part deux

It's been about a week since Eddie had his little back incident and I went into panic/ stress mode, but I am happy to report that he is doing much better.  Eddie is getting around and allowed to walk to the kitchen to his puppy pads and get a drink of water, but then its back to the crate if I can catch him - he thinks he can explore everything.  Dr Cindy said he can sit with me on the couch while I work on the laptop, but I still won't let him.  And he has become very vocal about being in the crate so the cats give him a wide berth around the crate.

Eddie her:  please tell my mom to STOP followin me when I go get my exercise.  I'm OK and can do stuff, not a lot, for myself after all I am 13 years old.  But mom does bring me the most interesting treats, yesterday she went on a job to a pet store and brought back some home made vegetable flavored bones, I don't like veggies unless they are fresh but these are OK.  Mom says tonight she's gonna watch the primary coverage on CNN and she might let me sit wif her on the couch and eat tato chips, keep your paws crossed.

Awwww Eddie - I feel your pain.....  when I had my couple of back episodes, my mudder would follow me everywhere chanting.... Slow Rudy, slow Rudy..... over and over.... enough woman !!!    She would let me sit on a pillow next to her on the couch, but she would hang on to me, so I didn't decide to go down the ramp on my own....  sometimes I would catch her slackin' off....and down I would go.  Talk about heart attack time - she would THEn quickly move into action !!!!

I'm so glad he is continuing to improve! I know how it goes with the crate once they feel better...They want out!!!

I am just reading about this, POOR EDDIE!!!! I say this every time but I so hate these back problems. Has Eddie ever had problems before? I don't remember him having any. I know how scary it is because you just don't know which way it is going to go. But usually it does go to the "better" side and I'm so glad to hear Eddie is on his way to recovery too. A good mom makes all the difference! It breaks your heart to keep them crated. I hope he can come out and sit with you, could you maybe set up a cushion on the floor or something to watch TV from so at least if he did get away from you he wouldn't be jumping clear off the couch? We are sending tons of rays to you Eddie, keep getting better!  Not a fun time for either of you!

It is wonderful news that Eddie continues to improve.  It is so upsetting when one of our own have a back issue!!!  I believe we are all family and we truly care about one another!!!  And Eddie...yore momma just loves you soooo much, so please be a little more tolerant of her following you around all the time...okay?  We all hope that she does let you sit with her some tonight and snack on some tater chips.....it's is one of Winston's and Zoe's favorite things to do!!!  Take care little one    and you take care too mommy
