I am so glad. We seem to be on to something here.  Since I first posted my concerns of leaving Dixie I found a "daycare/boarding" that boards without cages but it still seems like they really don't "get" doxies.

Terri Sanders , Clearwater Florida.  A lot of people visit Florida for the attractions..Disney, Universal, Sea World.  I don't think they allow pets.  I'm about an hour and a half from there but would be willing to watch your babies if you can't find a closer alternative!  WooHoo....Play Dates!

North East, MD is about 60 miles north of Baltimore and 60 miles south of Philadephia.  And we are located about 5 miles from I-95 exit 100!

I'm looking for someone in Tulsa/OK to dog sit our two Wieners from time to time.  I'm willing to return the favor.  My dogs don't board well at the kennel.  One almost died because he got so upset last time that he refused to eat.  Any suggestions to make wieners more comfortable in kennels?  Is there such a thing as a good kennel?

Any suggestions help.

Sorry it has been so long before I replied, but I just saw this post for the 1st time.  I am also in Tulsa and I have a niece here that has a Pet-sitting business.  She is very good, highly recommended and is insured.  I pet-sit for some clients from time to time, but I can't do over-night sits very often, as I have 2 of my own.  She does them, though.  Her rates are very reasonable.  If you are interested, let me know and I will give you her information.  I know she has a web-site, also.  I will get that info together for you if you would like.  Maybe we could meet up for a doxie-day-out sometime!  LOL!   :apls:

....I mean we need a Madderoo Sitter.  We are going on vacation the week of Sept 22.  We live in San Luis Obispo, CA and are headed SOUTH first.  We are doing kind of a CA roadtrip with our first stop in the Santa Paula/Ojai area.  Prefer something as close to SLO as possible because after going South, we will be headed North for Pacific Grove, Monterey, Pescadero and Half Moon Bay.  In HMB we will be staying in a LIGHTHOUSE!     I don't think there are many of you around us, but just in case, I'm putting the call out.  Give me a holler if you'd like to watch the Roo.

I am thinking of going camping on Monday, September 22 or Tuesday, September 23 until Sunday, September 28 at Outer Banks with the D.C. Surfrider Foundation.

I could take Guinness and Ima - they both come when I call and are much easier to handle - but I'd like to see if I can get someone to babysit the two boys.  I live in Bawlmer, er, BalTImore, ahem Maryland.

Love seeing doxies meet new doxies!  I have become a regular pet-sitter of a client at the Vet Clinic I work at.  Go Figure---he is a red mini dachshund named Rascal who is crippled in the rear end and has a wheel chair.  He is 14 years old and is AWESOME.  His daddy is a Human Doctor and the kids grew up with him.  They are an awesome family.  He had a slipped disc, had surgery, accupuncture, etc., but never would walk again.  His doc, Mom and Dad all agree that he just loves the attention and wheels too much.  He wags his tail and will go outside to poo, very active and playful, but won't walk!  I am his second Mom and love watching him.  He pushes his ears against my hand to rub them and LOVES, LOVES, LOVES my attention.  Has my number when he gives me the "LOOK"!  anyway.  Just my happiness to share extra love with a Dachshund!

I am certified in canine first aid, cpr, and used to be  a veterinary assistant. I am trained to work with all breeds of dogs including pit bulls and all the other so called dangerous breeds who really are not dangerous at all. I Life in Palm Harbor and my only job  pet sitting. caring for other peoples pets while they are and cant take care of them .I once watched this nice womans border colliey monday through friday for 3 years straight till she moved out of state. another time i watched a rottie/mastiff mix for the entire summer while his owner was vacationing in europe. i charge $25 a day for large dogs or multiple small dogs and $15 for any single small dog under 30lbs. if you live near by and need a loving and well qualified pet sitter email me at Luckymcurran@aol.com
