Daisy scheduled for Surgery

Good Morning Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know Daisy's MRI went well but it did show that she has a ruputred disk in her neck. Her neurosurgeon and the doctor and the technicinas at the MRI place can't believe that she is still walking. They all said that she should be paralyzed. She's home resing comfortably until Tuesday morning. They said we could continue to treat it medically but even then months from now she could still require surgery. We decided to go ahead and have the surgery as we feel that she's been on crate rest going on 3 months and another 3+ months of that would not be fair to her. We just want our old Daisy back!!!! They said they would take care of the disk that ruptured and fenestrate all the others that they coould get too. She'll only be spending a night in the hospital and the recovery time is about 2 weeks. When she had her back surgery in 2003 that was a 6 week recovery time so we are looking forward to our girl getting better. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Talk to you later

Oh, gosh! I will be thinking about you guys. As Kari said, let us know how she's doing. Far too many of us have been down this road. I'm sorry you and Daisy are having to go through this.
