I am sitting at my computer, doing a last minute check on my email and this board.  While I sit here I hear a doxie sound asleep under the covers of my bed about 10 feet away.  Its the rythmic, deep breathing of one who is sound asleep.  I just love that, hearing one of my "kids" sleep!

How SWEET Patty! Do you know without looking, which one it is?  I love that sound too...especially when it's nestled right up to your ear at night. Do you wrap the boys in towels straight from the dryer? Hold your ear to their nose after you do that and you'll get treated to a lot of happy grunting.  :thumb:

I loved your Christmas letter by the way, especially the photos of Neeki! She sure has grown up and is so beautiful. Love the bucking shot. Have you started to train her yet?

We have a love/hate relationship with that, as we get into bed and wait for sleep to hear after 2 mins Amy's soft purr. Dee Dee I usually call Amy when I empty the dryer and dump the pile on her and as you say you get teh mHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH then the snort.

Awwwwwww is right....Patty that is so sweet!  You are so lucky that you hear that sound instead of the one I hear....the sound of Zoe chewing her toenails....     I always forget about warm towels.  I am going to have to do that.  When Zoe and Winston were puppies they would crawl on top of the laundry basket and lay in the warm towels.  Since they are adults, they have not done that.  Wonder why?

How sweet. I will have to try the warm towels. I think about it when I read it on here, but then forget. Since it has been so cold the last few days, Schatzi would love it. I've been noticing her sleeping sounds more here lately (when I can tune out Molly, that is). I think she is sleeping deeper, especially on the colder days/nights. It is the sweetest, sound.

I love hearing about snorting snoring sleepy puppies...they are SO sweet. When Hallie was younger, she would wait next to me and jump into the laundry basket as soon as I threw the warm clothes in, then I would cover her with more warm clothes and carry the whole thing into the living room and let her sleep it out, then help her out of the basket. After the first couple of times I started lifting her in so she wouldn't jump. Then I decided to get rid of the basket all together so no risk of jumping at all...and now she will sit at the back door to the laundry room while the clothes are drying and let out one BARK now and then wanting me to come get the clothes out. And gets very excited and dances and spins when it is time. Then she races me to her big bed in the living room, I lay one warm towel down, she lays on it, the next gets wrapped around her neck (she lifts her head and waits then as I start to wrap she immediately drops her head onto it) then the third over all of her with just her nosie sticking out. That's when you get the best deep breathing and groaning.

The other one I love is when she gives me a hug...I'll hold her and say give mom a hug and she will lay her head across my shoulder like a limp noodle, and then she lets out a big sigh.    She knows the difference between give mom a hug and give mom a kiss and does them every time.

Kendall-angel always gave Randy hugs. When we got Schatzi, it took very little time for him to have her doing the same. Not only does she lay her head on his shoulder (or mine), she presses against it, or the neck, just as if she is hugging.

Ohhh how SWEET! I love it...Hallie does the same, she presses against you like she's hugging you and she will stay like that as long as you hold her. Just melts your  It's impossible not to stand there and rock them when they do that lol.

I think it was Alex, he knows how to relax.  Willy has to always be up and around, in case someone drops some food on the floor or something.
