Eddie the great b/t hunter here.  Momma let me outside a few minutes ago and what did I see but a possum by da side of our back porch.  So like any great dachsie hunter I went after him and killed him.  Then momma gots all 'cited and started yelling for me to come in da house, so like the good boy I am I came in.

Marcia here - yes we had a possum and Eddie went after it and killed it or so I thought.  After getting him in the house and checking for war wounds(there were none) I went back outside to put the creature in the trash and take picture for Eddie's scrapbook, but the possum was gone.  Apparently when Eddie went after him the little guy curled up and played possum until we were in the house and then took off.  I thought it was kind of strange that they little guy didn't try to fight back and  that Eddie made no noise when he had attacked the possum.  We'vev had possums in the yard before but never this close to the house recently.  I don't think he'll be back anytime soon with Eddie on duty.

Hey, Eddie!  This is Brekke.  I like your style.  You protected your mama, and that's what we do!  I am always protecting my mama from anything I can see or hear (and sometimes just from figments), to keep her safe.   You da dog!  :headbang:

Eddie, Clifford says you still get to knotch the bedpost for a kill.  It's not your fault the little bugger didn't cooperate.  And when Clifford is in full attack mode (as in the 3 possums he killed) he is totally silent...
There's nothing like having a dachshund tongue up your nose at 3 a.m.

That's why it's called "playing possum" boys and girls!
