OK-when I got my Cali at 7-weeks-old, the breeder was feeding Purina ONE puppy. Cali's doing great on it, however, I want to feed her Sensible Choice. I have slowly been trying to switch her over, but it seems to be constipating her. Should I just wait or keep trying or leave her on the ONE? I, personally, think Purina anything is crud, but I know dogs who have done really well on it. Maybe I should wait until she's a bit older and more potty trained so her movements aren't so unpredictable? I had it down to knowing EXACTLY when she'd have to poop, but now, she tends to have accidents in the house due to the constipation. Am I asking & answering my own questions here?
Thanks for any input. BTW, she's 11-weeks-old now and a whoppin' 4 lbs. 5 oz.

I'm not totally sure on this...IMHO I would try switching her slowly putting a little of the old food in with the new. This may be what you are doing, but maybe just do it in smaller amounts.

I've been mixing a little of the new food in with the old, so I don't know either. Never had to switch with my Golden, had her on Sensible Choice her entire life. Oh, I might mention-the Purina ONE is Lamb & Rice and the SC is Chicken & Rice, if that matters in this situation.

I just went through this with my two year old Porky.  He had to switch foods due to an allergy.   You start by giving almost the regular amount of the old food, then mix a few pieces of the new food.  Then the next day you add a few more peices until they end up with all of the new food in the bowl. My vet said it should take two weeks to switch them over completely to the new food, if you do it correctly.   It seemed to work really well for my little guy and he didn't get the tummy problems with it.   I'll give you an example to make my instructions a little more clear.    I feed him 1/2 cup in the morning and a 1/2 cup of food at night.  The first day I put the half a cup in his bowl of the old food, then took out four peices, which I then replaced with the new food.   So... basically I was adding four pieces of the new kibble every day until I had him totally switched over.

Good Luck! I really hope this made sense.  If you have any questions please ask.   I hope the constipation stops really soon, that would be miserable!

I looked at the ingredients on the Purina one--- there is poultry by product meal in it so you really haven't totally changed the protein.
I woulsd say make sure she is getting enough water and make sure you are changing really gradually.  It will take some time for her tummy to adjust to the new food. You might even add a little water on the food itself to make sure she is getting enough.  There was also corn in the old formula so that could have made her looser too.  Good luck.
