I jes' don't think they make them the way I like them anymore! I'm about to give up and wear a rug!

She's so funny in that stroller she loves being in there. When I go to get her out either in a store or to get back in the van she goes limp puppy and doesn't help me lift her LOL she doesnt' want to get out. But the minute we get on solid ground she's happy and skippy, she wasnt' tired I don't think  more content and a touch spoilt...

Your real lucky H, as my mum makes me walk....................Amy
Yes the wee madam would love to be pushed or carried, but exercise is exercise, I don't mind if she sits after about 20mins, but she has me worked out real good.
The photo infront of the wlrus /seal looks like Ma he's gonna get me.
Your poor mama must be getting cold over there at present without a new coat. I call it NORMAL cloth, and no one seems to make them any more at, as its summer here and the in thing is crop tops boob hang out the top and a big gap in the middle and shorts that leave nothing to the imagination.

Yeehaw sounds like wee Amy is getting more strength back and can walk farther???
We usually get our 30 minute walk/run in every day but we had our first snow yesterday (we did walk in that it was weinerful!) but today is rain and wind storms...so no outside walking for a wiener that melts today! This was the next best thing and I never let her walk thru where people are too many chances of tromping upon the puppy.  :thinik:

You lucky guys are in summer!!! I cant' imagine anything much over 40 at this point. Amy your Mum cracks me up with her description of summer clothes!!! Sadly there would be nothing to hang out the top of my summer shirt...

Speaking of our wind storm...we came home tonight to find two full panels of our fence laying flat out there in the back yard!!! I couldn't believe it that hasnt' happened in my 24 years here. I go out and wiggle the posts often to see if any are getting rotten at ground level and replace the ones that are but I never caught this one. Thank goodness I saw it before letting Hallie out she is not out of my sight long enough to have left the yard probably but there could have been another dog in here or I dont' want to think what! I am super neurotic about my fence being safe and impenetrable. I've just been holding off til spring when Hallie will get a whole new fence didn't expect the wind could knock this one down. Luckily my cousins are great about these things and are coming first thing in the morning to jury rig it anyway, although it's still blowing and raining cats and dawgs.

I want a solid steel 50 foot high fence!!

Ms A has never been a walker, and we've always had to MAKE her walk, and I think I panic a bit when I don't think she gets enough exercise as I know they sleep the whole day away when we are at work . and I worry about her not keeping the back muscles up.
I to hate seeing people who take dogs big or small into crowds as it must be terrifying just to see legs.

Looking at the above post I really have to read before I hit send.....................

Did you mean 40C. We heard on the the TV about the snow storms and it sounds bad. We've just had a very lovely wet day, the down side is its going to get humid.
Talking of  wind makes me laugh, Nick has had this thing that we really had to get a dryer for up bush, I was not so fussed, I was mentioning it to my sister who cracked up when she heard as she said it winder than at my mum's and she has to double peg everything, we had to get the verandah and the roof tiles to be secured for the high winds , so watch out for my undies where you all are.
Keep warm and safe all of you.

Wee Amy does not like to walk? How about her brudder does he encourage her? I hear she likes to swim! Heheh. I'm sure she'd smack me one for that if she were close enough. I know what you mean though in weather like what we are having we can't get a walk in either and it worries me a bit.

LOL gads you are funny Roberta. I will keep a look out for your undies. Hallie has called dibs though if she gets to them first.  :thumb: I just can't imagine it being warm and humid out right now. It is actually warmer here today which is great all this rain has melted off all the snow (not that we had tons anyway).

Les yes we have a brand new Cabela's about a week old now. The crowds were crazy. It was pretty impressive but I'll never go back unless I really have to, I detest anything to do with hunting and it creeped me out to see all the dead animals and instruments of maiming and torture people buy to go out and kill them with. (and miss...and leave them to suffer). I will never get how hurting and killing another living, sentient creature can be "fun". And no I didn't find a coat I am convinced they don't make them like I like them anymore! I love the coat I have but cant' find another like it and it's wearing out. I've been everywhere I can think of...

Yep you are right Jeri! I do enjoy seeing the art in there. I know a handful of the artists who have prints in there so it was fun to look through.

Barb I need a coat that goes below my butt but not too low (about 31 - 35 inches down the back), with two big pockets with flaps in the front, plus the hand pockets that go behind those, two pockets higher up, and at least one inside pocket. It has to be REALLY warm...I've ordered 2 from LL Bean and sent them both back because they were paper thin! I need a hood, and it needs to be water resistant but not like a rain coat. I'm picky! But I need the pockets for Hallie's stuff when we walk and my phone and treats and hat and gloves, etc. I am always cold so lighter coats just dont' cut it. This year they are all short or puffy wierd or not thick enough or somethin'!  :thinik:

I was looking at the pictures thinking to myself that it looked like a Cabela's store as well.   We live about an hour or hour and a half away from the first and largest Cabela's store.   The "stuffed" animals there kinda creep me out too.   My husband and I love to fish so we go there quite frequently.   He likes to go target shooting so we get a lot of his gear there.  Don't worry he shoots clay discs only.    I really like looking at the fih they have in the one close to us and they have some nice warm clothes and great camping gear. Although I agree, I hate their videos they play for demos (do I really want to see them shooting an animal?? NO!!)  and I really hate looking at all the hunting stuff.   If you just stay on the one side of the store, you don't have to look at all the hunting stuff.   We have boats and all sorts of stuff in the store near us.

Too bad you couldn't find the coat you wanted.   It is getting hard to find nice coats anymore around here too.  I ended up settling for a Columbia jacket last year (it was half off) it is pretty comfortable and the inner fleece part zips off so if you want a lighter jacket you can make it that way.   It has lots of roomy pockets, but does look a little bulky.   Good luck on your coat quest!   Have you tried looking at Burlington Coat factory???  I have never been to one personally but I have heard they have a pretty good selection.
