Mama's makin me nervous.

My mama has been going cwazy since Sunday night.  Her and daddy rented some movies and planned on habing a relaxing evening.  (Believe me, we could use one)  Den mama's phone rang.  She looked at the caller id and saw it was her boss. Mama called her back and daddy and I sat listening in.  She kept saying, "Oh. Oh My!" and stuff like dat.   Den she hangs up da phone calmly.  Daddy asks her what da phone call was about and she just sighs.   Den she splains to daddy dat da big wig is coming to inspect at da club.  If da 'spection goes well dey get a big award, if da 'spection goes bad, well it wouldn't be good.   So...mama was freaking out about every thing and studying up on her stuff.   She didn't sleep hardly at all Sunday night.   Den Monday morning she was habing a bad tummy ache and pacing around da house recitin' things.    :crazyeyes:

Mama went to work and da big wig came in for da 'spection.  Mama sez lucky her, she didn't hab to answer any questions to da big wig.  She was working wif a client.   :apls:  Da 'spection went well except when it came to the examination of da paperwork.  One of da odder twainers had messed it up BAD!  Howeber, since eberyfing else went well, da big wig said dey would consider gibing dem de award anyway.   But, it takes two weeks to find out.    So..I hab to deal wif my mama being nervous until the second surprise inspection is complete.   


Hey everyone.  We sure had a nerve wracking day at work yesterday with the inspector there.  My boss told me on the phone the night before that we had to memorize all our phone scripts and price scripts for the inspection on Monday.   She said if one employee was asked to recite them and missed it causing us to lose the award, they would be fired.  and Oh yeah, don't be too nervous about it.  That didn't make sense to me.  Luckilly the inspection was easy for me because one of my clients needed assistance with her workout during that time.   :apls:  We still have one more surprise inspection to occur sometime this week.   The inspector will call and we are to recite the phone script word for word.  If we miss even one word we lose the award.   :crazyeyes:  This award is VERY important.  With it comes pay raises, new equipment for our club, free advertisement for our club, bonuses, and more clients.   So basically the success of our club relies on this award.    I felt ill all day yesterday and assumed it was nerves.   Well, I just attempted to call in sick and one of my co-workers literally begged me to come in because the other three were out sick and she was now feeling ill.  So... apparently, we're all sharing the flu.  Couldn't have come at a worse time.

Well that's totally ridiculous and not fair to you guys. An award worth new equipment and pay raises, etc all hinges on one person reciting one word wrong??? That sounds fishy...could your boss be messing with you? If you don't mind my asking, what is the name of this award, the club I've been going to for 8 years now (and yes...I know....8 years and I STILL look like this. LOL!) has never had anything like that. If it's nationwide I'm sure they'd love to know about it. It would be a very cool award to get new equipment!

Try not to stress easier said than done, I think this is not fair to you guys at all.  Good luck I hope you win!!!

What the hay???  Miss one word and the award is history?  What do you DO exactly, what kind of club is it?  Sounds like you and your co-workers are very amped up over this.  That won't help anything, you gotta relax.  RELAX, I said!!!  Don't you just love it when someone tells you to relax?  What I really hate is when someone tells me to "calm down" when it is obvious that I am no way near calm!   :crazyeyes:

  Thanks Patty I needed that!   The club is a franchise club and has to be operated EXACTLY like the big wigs want it in order to receive this award.  It is only available to clubs within the franchise.   I'm not allowed to say which club it is, but I can tell you it is international as well as being all over the united states.   Only 5% of the clubs have received this award so it really is a BIG award.   As far as having things word for word, unfortunately my bosses aren't kidding.   Because the award is based on how well we operate our club according to the standards set by the big wigs, we have to have EVERYTHING perfect.  Meaning the scripts we are constantly trained on have to be perfect, we can make no mistakes. 

I'm feeling lot better about it all today.  Now that the first inspection is over I feel so much more relaxed.   Now, we just have to wait for the surprise inspection.   Maybe I'll get lucky and it will happen to my boss.  Then I won't have to deal wih it.   :xfinger:  Also, my flu-like symptoms seem to come and go.  I felt better this evening than I did this morning, so I'm hoping that means I'm getting better.   :xfinger:  I have a LONG day tomorrow working a split shift, so hopefully my symptoms don't come back.
