I know it has been awhile for us to post but i have been really busy. Well, Bandit was neutered and as i suspected, no papers were ever received. I just have to learn from this and go on. I love him sooo much so papers wouldn't change a thing! He is almost potty trained and has graduated out of the "Kitchen Play Pen" for most of the time. He still sleeps in his kennel at night, although i am tempted to bring him to bed with us and Max but i think he needs a little more time. I will try and update some pics soon. He is such a little "porky butt"!lol he weighs 15 lbs and he is 6 mos. old! Max is 4 1/2 and weighs 14 lbs.
talk to you soon!

Hey dats my nickname, "Pork butt."  :2funny:   But, I'm little, only 9 pounds.   My hoo unka has a dachshund named Bandit.  We call him "Lard Butt."  He's a standard and he always sneaks into da butter when no hoomans are looking.  Dats why he weighs, easily, 22 pounds!

I'm glad you are happy with Bandit.   I agree with you that the important thing is you have your baby, papers are a minor detail.  I am glad he's potty trained and doing so well!  It sounds like he's going to be a big boy.      How is Max liking having  a puppy around?

If you wanted to show in obedience or anything but conformation you can always send the AKC pictures of the dog and they will send you a LP number to use when you want to do any of the above. You might go on line to the AKC and see if they have any information about getting a LP number or write to them and ask them.

It has been years ago since I heard people talking about it I'm sure it still available

Dee Dee and Hallie

Good to see you back!

Yes you could easily get an ILP number for them (Indefinite Listing Privilege). Hallie didn't have any papers so that is what she has for me to show her with. It was easy to do, photos of front, back and side, plus I think it was 3 people have to sign (experts of one kind or another) saying they believe the dog is purebred. Hallie has several obedience titles with her ILP number now although she would not be allowed to do earthdog or field trials or of course the breed ring. She can do tracking and all obedience classes though. And she's got a Schutzhund title!!  :thumb:
