I just posted on the Rainbow Bridge thread today. We have lost 2 dogs in the past 2 months. Fortunately we still have 2. One is with DH during the week and the other is with me. My Patch is a black & tan silver dapple mini, and has never been without Tiffany whom we lost last Friday. He is having a rough time adjusting to being alone during the week while I am at work.

Our other remaining dog is Brandy and Welsh Corgi/Australian Cattle dog.

I love dogs, reading, most forms of needlework (especially quilting) and Michigan.

Welcome Marge,  Where do you live in Michigan?  My name is Marcia and I live in Warren.  I am owned by two little boy dachsies, Sam a 15 year old smooth red who just had a dental and is now back to his old self.  And then there is Eddie my 12 year old boy who is a LH b/t who now ignores his brudder completely.

We have a house in Livonia, and we also have a place in a campground in Howell.

My parents lived in Warren before they retired. I lived there for about a year before I got married. Way back when.

Sorry to hear about your two losses. i have posted on this site before, but it was like 4-5 years ago. My first dog belonged to our family and passed away in 95 at the age of 15. she was a mini-dachsi and her name was heidi. She was our pride and joy. Now i have a  mini-dachsi and her name is heidi vongosner landon the 2 in honor of our first. This one is a black and tan mini. I to am a dog lover. When i first purchased her in 2002, She had both mights and fleas. She was just about bald and the vet said she was mall-nourished. She was so sweet that i fell in love with her at first site. So, i had to dip her in this special solution that was perscribed by the vet 3 times a week. and she now is well fed. she is now 5 years old. i will be posting pictures soon. so sorry

Hi

They do win your heart. The end of June we adopted Wilson. He is a 5 year old mini double dapple. He supposedly lived with an old couple who couldn't care for him, but he is afraid of men. He has bonded totally with our other Dachsy Patch and with me. You can tell he wants to get close to my husband, but can't quite get there. We see little changes in how close he will get to him, but mostly he barks at hubby. Hopefully that will change soon.
