My sister and her family are moving there this fall.
As a true blue Alaskan myself, I see this as a step backwards.......

According to mapquest, I am 77.2 miles from Combine, TX, or 1 hour 25 minutes. We live outside of Sanger TX. Sounds like it might be named for a farm implement??

My youngest daughter is joining the Coast Guard. Her ship out date for boot camp is Aug 7 - she is hoping to end up in Alaska. Neither one of our kids are very impressed with Texas, and they frequently yearn to move North - especially during the summer. But me, well I don't deal well with cold (anything below about 60 degrees) - give me a hot day anytime.
