Joey N Tobys Mom

Hello,

I found this site a while ago and thought you all looked like a fun bunch so I thought I'd join.  :)  I notice a few familar people from "somewhere else."  ;)  Anyhow, I'm Becky and I have two dachshunds, Joey and Toby.  They're both 2 years old and completely spoiled rotten of course.  Joey was our first and is a LH black and tan, has had some problems with allergies but has gotten a lot better since we moved here to Alaska last year.  He's very sweet, very social, high energy, yet very gentle.  And Toby came along about six months later.  He's a LH cream and a big momma's boy (Joey is too but Toby even more so).  He's very laid back (unless he is defending our household from "intruders" also commonly known as moose) and a big lover (kissy kissy).  We have two cats as well--our black queen and a rotten ragdoll.  Oh yes, and the furbabies are expecting their first nonfurry baby next month as I'm pregnant with our first child.  We live in the "valley" outside Anchorage, previously lived down south, and I grew up in the north east.  Guess that's it for now.  I'm going to try to attach a couple pictures of the boys.

Teresa

Hello and welcome to the board. I'm Teresa and I'm owned by Schatzi who is a mini smooth dark red girl and Molly who is an English Bulldog. My husband and I also have a daughter who is 22 who has just returned home from college. She is here and working for a year before going to grad school for her Masters in Social work. We all live in South Carolina, so we are on the opposite side of the U.S. from you, and right now would give anything for your temperatures! For the first time, Greenville hit 105 degrees yesterday and as far as I'm concerned it doesn't ever have to do that again. Today it will be a cool 98 degrees! Alaska is looking better and better!
Schatzi is our sweetheart and thinks she is always innocent of whatever she may be accused of (like getting in the trash this morning). She quickly perfected the L@@K and uses it regularly! Molly tolerates her well and they are really best friends, and, of course, Schatzi is the BOSS! Nothing like watching a 10lb doxie rule a 50lb bulldog.
I'm sure you will hear from Patti on here very soon. She is a fellow Alaskan and will love to know she isn't the only one. She, too, lives in the valley near Anchorage. Wasilla, I think.
Can't wait to hear more about Joey and Toby. They are beautiful! I love the longhairs. If you read some of the older posts, you will see we have had a new human baby on the board recently, and we LOVE human baby pictures just as much as furbaby pictures. Do you know if you are having a girl or a boy?

Sandishooligans

Hello Becky!  I'm Sandi from San Luis Obispo, CA.  My furkid is Madison.  Yes, my signature sitll says "Sandi'sHooligans"  I didn't want to change names as I would have to start all over being a junior poster.  My lovely lady, Dolly, passed in March.  It still hurts but the memories of her are Oh So Wonderful.  Maddie aka Madderoo, being a bit selfish and having a 'tude, loves being the ONLY one.  She is as cute as a button

SPEAKING OF WHICH......Oh my!  Your furkids are CUTE CUTE CUTE!!
