I can't find enough words to express how you made me feel today.  Paty said it so well in her last post on the original message:  Everyone on this board expressed their concern and love for my boys.

Right now, my blanket is yipping in its sleep.  That is, Guinness, under my blanket, is yipping in his sleep.  The Herd is snoozing the day away as if nothing exciting had happened.  Little do they know.

I live on the edge of an urban city with a huge dog fighting problem.  I couldn't even write down my greatest fear - that someone would get ahold of them to be used as "bait" for pit bulls.  Just this week a woman in northeast Baltimore was bitten over 90% of her body and one of the two pit bulls mauling her was shot by a police officer while its jaws were still clamped on the victim!!

Traffic is very heavy just two blocks from my home.  Merlin crossed at least three major streets - Glen Avenue, Park Heights, and Reisterstown Road.  He and Beauare both lucky puppers to have made it home with nothing more than sore paws.

From the bottom of my heart, thanks to each and every one of you.  G-d bless you all!

A lot of our Doxie-Angels were watching over your pair today.  We are all so thankful they made it home safely.  A true fear for all of us when we realize they are not under our feet.

We are all over the moon that the boys are home !

I did a Google Earth search on the body shop to see where the puppers were going.   They definitely were headed for the wrong side of the tracks.   I was amazed at some of the streets they had to cross, and that they made it no worse for the wear.   There were some serious dachshund angels looking after this pair today.

Oh Karen, I write this with tears of joy in my eyes.  Thank God the boys are home safe and sound.  What a horrible day this has been for you but what a wonderful ending.  I hope you rest well tonight.  You certainly deserve it!  Gentle belly rubs for both of your tired boys.... I'll be saying a prayer of thanks that God sent your boys back to you...and to all of us here on the board.  Hugs to YOU!

I am so glad I didn't see your post before I went to bed last night.  I would have been heartsick!!  I love hearing their stories and all about their antics.  I am tearing up at the thought of them being gone.  I'm am SO HAPPY they are home!!  I would have never made it through work today if I had read your post last night.   I love the picture of you with your baby.   SO so happy they are home safe and sound!!! :hello2:

I am also so glad they made it home safe. Penny got out of our yard when she was a puppy and I was frantic! We live on the edge of a park called Mission Trails and I knew we would never see her again if she went into the park. We also live on a very busy street!! Needless to say we now have 2 locks on our gate as well as a baby gate across it! There are so many wonderful people on this board who care and were heartsick right along with you! I know that I must have refreshed the forum a million times today waiting for an update! Smooches and hugs to the herd and yourself! I hope you have a relaxing weekend!

Wonderful news. I have been thinking about these two all day. I hope you can work out some method of ensuring that the gate remains closed in the future.

I am still feeling great relief over their safe return home.  God was watching over their little patooties!  And I trust you bought those guys their beer?

I've been reading the posts after the fact, but my heart was racing like mad just thinking about how terrified you were.  So glad the wayfarers came home.  They truly have angels watching out for them.  Has your adrenaline level dropped yet? Whew.

So happy the boys made it home ok!  I was just sick to my stomach thinking of them out there in the big ol' city!  I would probably have to be sedated if Berman or Lucy ever came up missing!  So very very happy yours are all by your side now!
