Toby-Mans good news for the most part!

Well the stiches and tubes are OUT!  That is the good news.  The original stiches are fine but there is still a bit of draining from the ones that Dr. M. put in last week.  He decided to take those out as well .  The area that is closest to the vein is what we will have to watch very closely for the next few days.  He is pretty sure that the cartilege is attaching nicely to the ear but if there is any change at all or if it starts to leak (yeah, I have learned the difference between leakage and draining.  Lucky me!) he will restitch just that area.  So we go back tomorrow for a look-see but hopefully it will be okay.  The bad news is that he has to wear the collar for another week or so.  Just to protect it for a bit more.  I must say that Toby-Man was an absolutely patient little angel while he got them out.  He had to take them out one at a time and then sort of pull a bit to see how well the ear attached.  He just sat there and looked at me while I told him what a good boy he is and never made a peep.  My sweet boy is far more patient than I would be under the circumstances!  Thank you everyone for all of your good thoughts and prayers and rays.  I'll post a few pics tomorrow.

Maybe i missed it when i was gone for so long, but what happened to Toby man's ear??  I'm glad it is healing.  Sounds like he's had quite a time of it.  Poor baby.  Porky sends extra healing licks to help him feel better.
