WooHoo! Surgery is over!

I just spoke with Dr. M. and everything went  well.  Toby is still in the recovery area and will be for awhile while they continue to monitor his heart and respirations. It took a bit longer than he expected as the vein needed to be cauterized in more than one spot and they were watching him very carefully. 
I was hoping that he could come home tonight but he will be
staying overnight and should be able to come home tomorrow morning.   I'm going to stop on my way home to see how he is doing.  I'll post more tonight.  Thank you everyone for all your prayers and all those good dachsie rays!  WooHoo!  Toby-Man has two good ears!

Yay, Toby!  Now you can milk it for all it's worth, once you get home!  Brekke says to be sure and ask - er, demand scrambled eggies as often as possible!  Those are on every patient's recovery menu!
