That Mean Doggy Gave Me A Bite!

Maddewoo here.  Yesterday, we went on our usual walkie to da park behind our house.  At dis park, I don't have to be on a yeash and can wun awound fwee.  While I was pwaying, a lady came and she had TWO weenerdogs!  They were on yeashes and were vewwy wiggly.  Mom and the lady started to intwoduce me to dem but the boy dachsie didn't get too close.  His mommy said he was kinda aggwessive.  JJ, da boy, kept twying to get closer to me.  He seemed happy to see me, eben iffens I was 'noring him.....as usual.  Suddenly he got vewwy close and den, he wasn't vewwy nice.  He bitted me!  I yipped and his mommy made sure he wasn't close to me anymore.  What did I do to zerve dat?  Mean ol' boy.  And then mommy wonders why I'm not a social butterfwy.  I wasn't hurted or anything.  Just tartled.

Sandi here:  I kind of think that JJ has a bit of a leash aggression issue.  Dolly had that.  She was very brave and growly ON leash, but once off it, she was a coward or would just ignore the other dogs.  It was really just a nip but enough to end this particular meet and greet.  JJ is a gorgeous brindle dachsie with black on top of his back and red around his body.  Very unusual looking.  Like I said, I don't think he meant to hurt, maybe just to dominate.  I'm sure we'll see each other again.  Maybe we'll just keep our distance....just in case.  Maddie didn't seem traumatized (no matter what SHE says) by the encounter.  We will continue our romps in the park....OFF LEASH.

i am sworry to hear you got bit one time i got bit by a big wabbador and i lay round on my back and squealed it worked da big bad dog left all da dogs fink they can bullies coz were wee and then i thought one day i would be big and i ran after my neighbour and tried to bite her and now my mama won't let me of da leash don't try and bite hoomans big mistake

Poor Madderoo!!! That was not a very nice thing for that boy to do to such a pretty girl especially. When I was younger I would scream like a girl when another dog scared me. (oh wait...I AM a girl so that was ok!) I'm glad you didn't get hurt!

Oh no! Poor Maddie! I'm sorry to say Berman has a little bit of "short man's complex" and thinks he's way bigger an tougher than he really is.  I'll tell him your story and see if that'll make him have a change of heart!
