Cookie got her stitches out today.

Cookie's version of events:  Those dumb parents of mine took me back to the dang doctor again.   :idiot:  Why do dey do that? I go so much and I don't wanna go! Today I didn't have to stay overnight- they played with my neck, looked at my mouth, weighed me and talked to my daddy and den I was done!    Daddy even carried me to da car. I am such a princess    I worked da look hard when I got home for some extra food- gotta strike while the iron is hot.


What really happened- My DH took Cookie in this morning, they removed her stiches and gave her a clean bill of health.  He mouth looked good (with all 8 teeth LOL ) and she can go back to dry food.  They said the canned food is more likely to get stuck in the pockets in her gums than the dry, so back to weight management dry it is! Cookie also maintained her weight- we were worried that she was going to blow up on that canned food!
They also said if that growth does not come back in the next year, it probably never will.  We both promised Cookie she is done with the vet for a while!  She deserves a break.

As far as Cookie at home- she is almost back to her old self.  In the past 2 days she has really been into playing with her toys again which is a great sign.   She also has gotten back to her usual sleeping schedule.  She still farts though   She has been off the medicaine for a day now, so we are hoping it clears out of her system soon.  We are dying here!  Thank goodnees for DVR, becasue so many times I have had to pause what I am watching for 20 minutes while I leave the room- they are that bad!

Glad to hear Cookie is doing so well have you tried Gas X I have given it to Buddy once in a while big dog big farts will kill in a heart beat guess we need to figure out a way to send all dog farts to Iraq???

Great news that Cookie is getting back to herself !!!!    LOL on the toots....my Brandy can let them rip with the best of them !!!  Strange, I don't think I have ever "heard, smelled, whatever" Rudy toot !

So glad to hear that Cookie is doing so well and is back to her normal self :apls: :apls:  Sorry about those farts though....my doxies don't seem to do that...but my Sheba....now that is another story.  She sometimes eats grass and there is nothing worse than a "grass fart".....lol...Hope the toots stop soon!!!

I still smile everytime I think about when I first read that Cookie's bump was benign! 

LOL don't you know doxies don't fart....they phart. A rose by any other name...can still clear a room!  Give her lots of hugs in between pharts, and some sympathy for having the all clear to go back to dry and off canned. LOL.
