Dis is Cajsa and Gretchie.  Momma is all happy 'bout dis fing called a "job".  We waz finkin' she waz s'posed ta stay home wif us and DAT waz her job.  She'z gonna be werkin' wif other dogs an' we don't wike dat either.  Why does momma hafta go git a JOB? 

I posted in the NDR forum about it but I'm excited to have found a job.  It's working in a vet's office so I'll get to work with animals and I'm looking forward to it.  I'll eventually get to assist in surgery and things like that although I seriously doubt I'll do it immediately!  Cajsa and Gretchie won't know what to do when I'm not home most of the time at the computer.  They've gotten used to sitting in my lap, at my feet or in a basket of blankets near the desk but in the sun.  I'll enjoy having a job (that pays me!) as well as one giving me the experience I need to get into agriculture.  It doesn't seem like it's rocket science, but it does sound interesting and dynamic so I shouldn't get bored!

you will probably get sniffed to death too when you get home, smelling like all the critters that come into a vets office just don't bring home any extra critters like fleas,you may also want to consider your work shoes leave them in the trunk of your car do not want to take home any diseases either. Bet it will be a very interesting place to work at least it should not be boring hope you get the job.

Congrats to mommy for her new job......she will have to suck up big time to you girly girls !!!!   Being gone AND coming home smelling like other puppers????  Yup - treats and prezzies all the time !!!!  Tell mom to let us know how it goes !

Congratulations April!  Prepared to be sniffed BIG TIME when you come home from workin' with the doggers and KITTIES.  You're gonna have some 'splainin' to do everyday.....heee heee.  Wow!  sounds like the perfect job.  Be sure to tell us all about the dachsies that come in, y'hear?

I really am excited about it.  It's close to Elf and hopefully everything will work out. 

I'd not thought about shoes, I think I'll be buying a pair of tennis shoes or something like that to wear at work.  I can wear jeans or scrubs so I think I'll probably be getting a few sets of scrubs to wear as well.

CONGRATS April! This sounds like the perfect job for you. They are lucky to be getting you. Please let us know how it goes you will learn a lot I'm sure and have a lot of great stories to tell. (I was thinking the same as Papbouv, wash up good when you leave and maybe a change of clothes?) Yes I too think you will be in for a major sniff over when you get home from work each day LOL.
