We went down to the water today it was wonderful! Not raining for once, just me and my happy little girl.

She is so much fun and so darned cute. Kind of windy! Sorry for so many pictures I took tons and had trouble choosing just a few.

What a way to live, Hallie! You really have a ruff life, don't you?

I think this really put a relaxed look on my face for the first time since I got home from school yesterday. Let's just say that a few of my students forgot that they have manners in a public situation. I love the one of you on the curved piling! Brekke sez, "Mom, why can't you do fun stuff like that instead of cleaning out my ears?"

Great pictures and it looked like a BEAUTIFUL day! I keep trying to think of captions for some of the pictures. I'm still on that greeting card kick, ya know. These would be perfect for some cards, too!

I feel for you Julia I don't think I could handle a group of kids in public I can barely handle myself LOL. I hope you are having a relaxing weekend!

Roberta I made myself put the camera away and we just enjoyed...she loves to dig and get silly in the sand and we love to just sit and watch things...

Cheryl I try to do something special with her every single day, and make it the funnest day we can have. Our time with them is SO short and even shorter when you consider how quickly they slow down and become too old to really enjoy this stuff. So we try to live life to the fullest every minute, they certainly make our lives wonderful too.

Thanks Amorette it was so beautiful yesterday and not too many people or dogs down there. (my pet peeve is people with big dogs that let them run loose they ALWAYS race up to us and I am always on the alert ready to scoop her up...grrrr)

LOL Teresa....captions would be fun! Her expression in #2 melts me to a puddle. The series I was taking of #1 was hilarious her ears were just whipping in the wind and she was loving it, sniffing the air.

Thanks Valerie it helps that she is a ham and will pose pretty much any way I put her. If I take too long though she will quietly start whining...she never looks at me she pretends to look off in the distance but she starts this little quiet high pitched whining and I know her quarter is running out!

Dee Dee Its one of our pet peeves that people with big dogs seem to think that the law is not for them to have their dogs on leash. We walked back the other night when out for a walk as some body had three large dogs that were off leash in the park up the court form us, and as we turned into it they had ran the half way up the park to a lady who had just walked on with a king charles cavilier who lifted it up. we walked back the long way and I went up to the park and informed her it was a on leash park she said their were no signs and I poineted to the large 2 foot square ones set up in the middle of each entrance path, her reply she had not read them yet. duh.................

As usual, another set of wonderful pics. I like the one on the ramp. I don't think I've ever seen a full nose-to-tail profile of Hallie, usually they are close ups or quarter shots. I always like the full profile...it really shows the dachsies physical attributes being both short and long at the same time.

Thanks you guys! Roberta I get crazy when people let their big dogs run up...it's even worse for you with two hard to snatch up two at once!

Lauri I didn't get your email darn it, I had to get a new computer as my other one (which wasn't that old!!) was flaming out and I lost a few days worth of emails.

David you are right! I need to do some profile Hallie's. Whenever I get the camera out she just automatcally sits down and faces me and waits for me to finish. I got to thinking after you said this that even her running shots are facing the camera, it's hard to get a shot of her from the side as unless we're on our walk she is always intuned to me and facing my direction. And it's hard to get a shot of her out walking on the leash...

I do need help with greeting card captions I'll start a new thread for that.
