Ozzie, My Comforter

Last Monday, I went to step-aerobics class.  Instead of embarassing myself in the front row, I decided to emberass myself in the back row.  Things were going well until about a half-hour in the class.  I began to feel really sick.  I went to the women's locker restroom.  As Bill Cosby put it in one of his comedy shows, I would not have been surprised to see my shoes coming out.

Then my lips and the area around my eyes started to swell.  I managed to get home, but the swelling wouldn't go away, and I was having some trouble swallowing.  I know enough about  medicine to wonder when my airway was going to go.

I called a friend and she took me to an urgent care clinic.  While it was determined that I had an allergic reaction, we could not figure out what could have caused it.

I'm violently allergic to cats, so I wonder if I was working out next to a person who has cats?

Anyway, the swelling started to go away after a dose of Benadryl.

When my friend delivered me back home, Ozzy was waiting by the door, and he never left my side.  It's funny how he seemed to know that I could some comfort and companionship.

That is really frightening!  See?  Another reason to avoid the gym!  LOL....
Glad your okay....  let Ozzie take care of you.... our furkids are really good at that!

Oh my goodness!   I would have been so scared!!  I have only had a severe reaction like that once, to a spider bite and it was terrifying.   Sounds like you managed to stay calm.   :apls:  I'm glad you are okay.  What a good boy Ozzie is to comfort you!

How scary how are you today? What a strange thing to happen!

Ozzie is the best remedy! What a sweetie. They are so intuned with us and do what they can to take care of us they are the best! Give him a hug for me too.

Oh my...you must have been really scared....I am glad you are alright...and that Ozzie knew just what you needed to make you feel better.....HIM...LOL..  Please take care and I hope that never happens to you again...ever!!

Glad to hear you are better and Ozzie took care of you if you had that sever reaction you might consider getting a Eppy Pen not sure if I spelled it right but your doctor will know you may not have much time next time that happens to you the Eppy Pen will buy you more  time.

This proves a point.  Exercise is BAD for you.   Ozzy, you were a very good boy helping your Mom.  Mindy, I hope you're feeling better.

Wow - that is so scary - glad you are doing better.  If you happen to try it again - take the Benadryl with you !!!  Go Ozzie - what a sweet boy !
