Around 1:00 AM this morning, I had the most horrible nightmare.  In it I was on the ground and being kicked repeatedly by a man wearing large work boots.  In my dream, the situation was getting hopeless, but I didn't have to see it played out.  I was awakened by someone who was concerned about me and who loves me very much.  Boonie was licking my face.  He must have sensed my distress and moved to help me, and what wonderful, perfect help it was!  Although he usually sleeps on his side of the bed with his butt touching my shoulder, after he woke me he moved up on my pillow and snuggled next to my head, and stayed there until I fell asleep again.  And I slept very well knowing Boone was there for me.

What a sweet boy!  I believe they can detect distress in us, and Boone was trying to help you.  What a good boy he is.

Boone must have sensed that you were in some distress, so he snuggled in close.   Good job Boone!   Knowing how stand-offish some of your other puppers have been, I'm sure that Boone's action must have been doubly special.
