The good news is, all of Dolly's teeth look great, including the one with a small crack.  The reason why Dolly has been acting lethargic is because her heart murmur is quite severe.  The vet says that Dolly's heart tells her to rest and that is a good thing.  She DID gain a half a pound since we were there 2 months ago.  Doc says Dolly would be displaying real symptoms of distress and her coat and skin would not be in good shape if she had something else happening.  Dolly has a beautiful shiny coat.  She did say that Dollers seems to have a little bit of stomach problems, probably associated with being a senior wiener.  She said soft food mixed with kibble is fine as long as she eats.....and she gobbles it when it's mixed.  So the conclusion is:  Don't worry Mom.  She's just fine and will most likely be around for a good long while.

Whew!  Dolly - quit scaring your mama and papa, and all your aunties and uncas out here!  We are glad you are resting when you should, and Brekke sez "Score: dachshunds 3, mamas and papas 0!"  This score subject to change as more mamas and papas read...
Brekke would SO not want kibble without something wet on it - whether it be wet Solid Gold, the canned food we are product testing,  those new little pouches we get by Variety, called Mixables, cooked pumpkin, or pureed no-salt green beans!

I'm glad you found out SOMETHING that is causing Dolly's lethargy.  Not really good but at least you know.  When I have a sick weener who needs to eat something, I whip up some scrambled eggs.  Or make a hamburger/rice concoction.  One pound ground beef, browned, drained and rinse with hot water.  Add this to 2-3 cups cooked white or brown rice.  They will gobble this up and its easy on the stomach.  You can freeze individual portions and then just warm up in the microwave.  Dolly seems too young to be having these "senior" sort of problems, but you just never know.  Look what happened to Misty.  Its baffling, but I guess its no different than people.  Anyone can get sick.
