Questions regarding puppy's diet....

Sophie is a nine week old female dachsund puppy.  We have been feeding her three times a day, 1/4 cup at each sitting.  She seems to leave just a bit in the morning, but at lunch and dinner she completely devours everything.  Is this an adequate amount of food for her?  She seems to be gaining weight and has PLENTY of energy throughout the day.  We are simply unfamiliar with the needs of this breed, as this is our first doxie.  Any advise as per amount or timing of meals would be greatly appreciated.

When Penny was a puppy we fed her three times per day and little under a 1/4 cup each time. Now that she is an adult we feed her a 1/4 cup twice a day and she is a healthy weight.
