Something I caught on Animal Planet last night

My favorite TV shows were pre-empted by a basketball game, so I was idly flipping through the channels when I landed on the Animal Planet network.  It was a show where one of the "animal cops" was describing her most memorable rescues.  One of them was a beautiful doxie, who had been abused by his owner.  The "owner" had hit him in the head with a baseball bat to make him meaner.  The doxie was named "Pepperoni."  He was adopted and is living his life well-cared-for and happy.

So, whoever adopted Pepperoni, I want to say Bless You, and thanks for ending my Ash Wednesday on an uplifting memory.

I'm a firm believer that all the good you do in life and all the bad you do in life come back to you, in this life or the next.  I wouldn't want to be the guy with the baseball bat when it his time for a reckoning comes!
