Hi all! Well, this is the last week that my daughter, Jessica and her family will be living in our town. This coming Saturday they will be moving to Nampa, Idaho. We are all pretty sad that they are leaving. Last Monday I went out to my Mom's with Jessica and the kids to visit. They were SO thrilled that they were going to get to see their pal Buddy (Hemi when he lived w/ them) again. As I put this photo show together I found tears running down my cheeks...it is so clearly evident how much these three children love this little dog. Each of them at different times mentioned that they wished their dad hadn't gotten Gunny the bulldog so that they could still have Buddy. That's pretty sad when a dad doesn't take his children into account when doing something like adding another dog to the family.  My Mom is the lady in the pink and black striped shirt!

I really love the picture of Ty and Faith with Buddy. I know you are going to miss them terribly. I, too, am so frustrated that their dad couldn't understand the importance of a bond between children and the animals they have. I hope you adjust well to their moving and Katie makes the transition much smoother.

Thanks Teresa. Unfortunately they have a very self centered Dad who is so lost w/in his own world that he doesn't really see the true needs of his family. I will be glad when this week is behind me. I have cried so much over the past couple months that I am just wrung out. They're in God's hands and only He can take care of them.

Kathy, are the kids okay with the move? Any excitement at all? I know it can be hard to move at their age, especially in the middle of the school year. Sometimes, though, the kids see it as a new adventure and do just fine. I'll say some prayers for all of you. I'm sure it will be hard for everyone.

They seem excited so I just keep my thoughts to myself. They are homeschooled so school isn't an issue. Thank you for the prayers...

Kathy I'm so sorry to hear your daughter and family are moving away. How sad! I feel bad they couldn't keep Buddy but I also feel bad for Gunny, it sounds like he's not appreciated much. Do you think your son in law would consider placing him with a family who really wants him? It sounds like a bad situation for everyone...I hope everything works out for the best and they can move back one day.

Well...I actually think Gunny has it real good. He was the dog they REALLY wanted. The thing I notice though is that he needs some training REAL bad! He and Katie are the same age and her manners are 100 times better than his. This is what happens when Dad can't/won't train the dog and Mom has her hands full w/ three kids that she homeschools. He's an unruly pup and has actually pulled my oldest grandson Ty who is 9 down the stairs a couple times. I have told Jessica that they really need to focus on some training once they get settled if they want him to be the good dog he can be. Buddy made out real good when Mom took him! He's in high cotton for sure! Bless his little doxie heart! I just love him.
