We were at the mall today and decided to stop in the coffee shop to get Lara a cookie.  Well, in the coffee shop there was a man with a male b/t doxie on a leash!  What a handsome fella he was!  He walked right over to us, and I just had to pet him.  The owner was a really nice man, too.  The doxie's name is Oscar, and his owner was saying that the people that had Oscar before him gave him up because they couldn't potty train Oscar or get him to learn commands.  Well, his new owner gladly took Oscar in, and in a matter of a week had him housebroken and beginning to learn commands!  It is nice to know that such a cutie like Oscar has a loving and caring owner.  And the owner said his daughter has a doxie, too.

Just thought I'd share.....I love it when I see a doxie out on the street.  Can't help but go over and love on them!

Isn't that great when you find another committed doxie owner out there! Lucky little guy to have gotten a good home. Sounds like his previous owner was just too lazy to make the commitment to do what it takes to house break him, then he blames the "stupid" dog and just threw him away.  :cussing:  Oscar and his forever Dad sound like a perfect match!

Its always great to meet a fellow doxie owner out in public.  You just automatically feel a commaraderie with them.  And the fact that they have their dog with them shows how much they care about their dogs by getting them out of the house for a while.  The dogs just love that.
