Seems the little pooper was digging yesterday and got a nasty cut or something on her paw.  She has been gnashing at it so hard this morning she WOULDN'T EVEN COME TO BREAKFAST.
Of course, I had to go to work today, but will take her to the vet this afternoon at 2.
We are actually kinda glad that it is her foot, 'cause she was a little gimpy last night and we thought, uh-oh, her back is hurting.  If I have to put an E-collar on her I am TOASt she willlet everyone know how miserable she is.
Honestly, do you think these two could stay outta trubbo for 48 hours??

ALLERGIES!!!!!!!!!!!   seems the gosh darn warm weather is still making things pollanate (pollunate? poolenite?) and Loki's gnashing at her feets.  So, more pred.  But at least there is no infection, and doc gave her back a good feel.  So Ka-CHING $41.50!!!!!!!

Awww poor Loki. DANG those allergies I hate them too and they are all too common. Hallie has been biting at her toots the last few days too, nothing like Loki but made me wonder what is in the air...(I believe it is pollenate lol but don't quote me).

Have you thought about immunotherapy shots? Have we already talked about this LOL I am having deja vu things go in one side and out the other. If she has problems all season it might be worth looking into, much better than pred (unless it's only sporadic).

Someone suggested to me when Hallie was really bothering her feet this summer, to soak them a couple times a day in really strong black tea (cooled a bit of course). I never did get around to trying it although I have boxes of the stuff in the cupboard now lol. She got better before I tried.

Aveeno makes a reall good anti itch lotion and body wash that works well to get rid of the itchies.  I'm pretty sure it would be safe to use on a dog because the main ingredient is oatmeal. Although I have never tried it on Porky, jsut myself.  Also, our Britney Spaniel that we had would gnaw on here feet like crazy and we found the pet shampoo, Histacalm helped both her itchy skin and her itchy feet.  Hope this helps!

Schatzi doesn't have a problem with this, but Molly has been having an awful time lately. I'm still trying to figure out how she is reaching her feet to lick them and gnash at them so much, especially her back ones. I guess it's true, where there's a will, there's a way. I'll have to look into the shampoos, maybe the black tea, but Molly HATES to have her feet touched and HATE is an understatement in her case!  Hope Loki's foot gets better soon!
