Dee Dee and Hallie

We just got back from the vet getting Hallie's allergy shot, I had posted earlier asking how much everyone's doxie drinks because Hallie seems to drink a lot to me (more than my last 2 kids anyway) and her urine is often dilute during the day. So I collected a first of the morning pee from her this morning  and her urine was FINE.  :hello2: The specific gravity was well within normal (I kind of thought since the sample this morning was more orange than her last dilute sample). Still, it was good to hear, I did worry the last 3 weeks a bit. Also her anal sacs that gave us so much trouble this summer are both still fine. Yeay. So I guess she just happens to drink a more than my last 2. I had taken her off all her normal treats and supplement these 3 weeks to see if any of that might be affecting her thirst (they didn't seem to be) so the best news as far as Hallie is concerned is she can have her favorite Zuke's treats again (she just had one and is now draped across my shoulder snoozing as I type this).

I heard a dog whining in the back so I walked back to peek at him and there was this red smooth doxie boy, so cute,  he was whining pitifully and sounded just like a rusty door. He must have been getting hoarse from all his whining poor guy. He had an inguinal hernia repaired.

LOL it is impossible not to worry your head off over every little thing with these guys, they have us wrapped around their cute little paws.

Roberta how is Olivers eye? Ouch. I know what you mean though about seeing a doxie...my vet today was also telling me yesterday she did a C section on a longhaired dachshund (poor baby!!!) she was red and the dad was a dapple and she had a little red girl and a little dapple boy, mini's of the mom and dad! She said she was really sweet but after the C Section she was waking up in the cage and the vet said she walked back there and the dog started screaming like it was in terrible pain. She left the room to get something for her and she was quiet. She walked back in the room and she started to scream again. She left and it stopped. Apparently the poor dog was totally blaming the vet for the crud she had been through that day and didn't want her anywhere near! :(

Friend of mine told me today a baby longhair black and tan is day cared each day at the training center right near my house here where we walk at the park each day. Guess where Hallie and I are going tomorrow....:)

I'm so glad Hallie is okay!  That's great news.   Porky was a C section baby.  His mother had a HUGE litter of 8 pups!   The C section resulted in a scar on my little Porky because the vet tech accidentally cut in too far and sliced part of his little belly, since he was apparently laying belly up in his mommy's tummy.

Great news DeeDee!  It's always good to be reassured when you have that little voice telling you that something might not be just what it should be.
Smooches sweet Hallie!  I'm glad you can have your favorite treats again!
