I took this series of pictures three years ago when Zeke & Zora were our houseguests.   At the time, we just thought they were cute pictures.   As time has passed and the events transpired which sent Rudy & Max to the Rainbow Bridge, and Zeke and Zora to our forever home, they seemed to have acquired a great deal of poignancy.

Rudy and Zeke.  It's as if Rudy's saying "Psst...Zeke, check this out over here"

Here Max shows Zora the backyard...almost like "Here Zora, let me show you where the Chipmunks like to hide"

Max and Zeke:  "Someday son, this backyard is going to be yours, and with it, all these yummy piles of rabbit droppings"

A picture of the four of them.   The Hebrew term is "L'dor V'dor", which translates to "From Generation to Generation".

Zeke and Zora are wonderful puppers and Yamisi did an outstanding job of raising them.  Still, it is quite comforting to know that on some level, Rudy & Max's influence is felt, "L'dor v'dor", from generation to generation.

What a wonderful set a pictures and what a great story they tell. It really does seem that Max and Rudy were making a place for them at your house. I think my favorite is the one of Max and Zeke! I'm so glad they are settling in so well and Jessica has the opportunity to continue growing up with Doxies!

Wow that gave me goosebumps. Almost like two timelines overlapping. It is so amazing how things turn out sometimes.

Your two were such handsome seniors and really healthy and long lived. You have been very blessed and now you are blessed, like you said, with a new generation.

Those are great pictures!  It is amazing how that happened.  You're right is almost as if the seniors are showing the little ones around.   How neat though that you have pictures of them all together like that.   Thanks for sharing!
