Hi everyone! I don't know if any of you will remember me. I was Piddleman's mom. I haven't been around for a while.
For those of you who might not remember me, my red long-haired doxie, Piddleman went to the bridge on January 30, 2004. I found this forum a few days later and those of you who were a part of it then were of great comfort to me. I even attended a doxie picnic in Centralia, WA at Dee Dee's house in July '04 and got to meet some of you and your sweet puppers.
As of yet I haven't gotten another doxie...but Steve and I plan to do so in the future. Right now we are dog parents of a 90 lb Golden Retriever named Finn who is 4. He came into our lives two months after Piddleman went to the bridge. Our oldest grandson, Ty, said that he thought Piddleman was in heaven sitting on Jesus' lap and telling Him how sad we were and that he asked Jesus to find us a new friend and that is why we found Finn!
Well, anyway...when I saw that your forum had changed I just wanted to pop in and say hello. I hope this finds all of you and your sweet puppers doing well!  :thumb:
Some day I hope to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am!!

Hi Barb! Glad you remember me! I will be more than happy to give Finn a big smooch for you! Right now he's romping around the living room w/ Steve...I sit out here w/ my back to them so as not to see who breaks what!
Last Thursday my dd, Jessica and my grandkids (Ty-7, Joe-5 & Faith-4) and I went to the Kitsap Co. Fair. I took the two younger kids and we walked through all of the animal barns while Jessica and Ty went on the big kid rides. The first barn we went in was the 4-H Dog Barn....Faith found a red, long haired doxie that she swore was 'T-toot', as the kids called him. I explained to her that it was a girl dog and not my little buddy, but she stuck to her guns! The owner let us pet the doxie, whose name was Abby (my grandkids call me Appy!) and that was sure a treat for me!

Hi Kathy!  Of course we remember you.  I do hope you know that whether you have a dachshund presently or not,  all dachshund lovers are welcome to be a part of our family here at Wiener Writings.

We've missed you!  Give some belly rubs to Finn for me!

Aww, thanks Krista! I've missed being here. I've been working part time and that really takes a bite out of computer time! lol Finn is NOT happy when I leave in the morning...he looks so forlorn. Once I get this forum figured out I will post some pictures of Finn and of Piddleman. Great to be back!!
