1.  Where do you live?  Columbus, OH

2.  Spouse?  Significant other?  As of September 24th, I have been married to my hubby, Kelly, for five years.

3.  Children - how many and ages.  We have a daughter, Lara, who is 18 months old.





4.  What do you do for a living?  I am a stay-at-home-mom now.  I was a video editor for a production company in Chicago, although now  I do some freelance editing to keep myself in the trade.

5.  If you dare.....your age and describe yourself !  I'm 29 years old, 5'5" tall, slim.  I am very close with my family, especially my twin sister.  I am quiet and reserved, and I think that sometimes people (who don't know me) mistake it for snobbiness. 

6.  What is your dream car/vehicle?   Color?  I've never been that big on cars....I suppose anything that gets me there in comfort and style would be nice.

7.  Other than your passion for dachshunds, what are your hobbies?  I like to read.  My favorite books right now are the Harry Potter series.  Currently, I'm reading the dragon series by Christopher Paolini.  I just finished "Eragon" and am now reading "Eldest".  They're quite good.  I was never a fan of sci-fi/fantasy before I met my husband.  I also like to swim, play volleyball and waterski; however, it's been a while since I've been able to do any of those things.

8.  If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?  Ireland and Hawaii come to mind first.  Also Australia.

9.  Do you collect anything?  I collect Angels.  My mom started getting them for me after my sister and I went to college.  I also collect them in honor of my cousin who lost her battle to cancer seven years ago.  Her mom collects angels also, so we give them to each other.

10.  Favorite Food/ Favorite junkfood.  Favorite food is probably Italian....especially Canneloni.  Favorite junk food is chocolate....hands down!  Hello, my name is Beth, and I'm a chocoholic....

11.  Favorite Movie - Oh, there's so many!  "Apollo 13" is one of my favorites.  There's also "Big Fish", "Forrest Gump", "A League of Their Own", "Pretty Woman".  I'm also a fan of the stupid humor movies like "Ace Ventura", "Dumb and Dumber", and "Airplane".....to name a few.  I really haven't seen a recent movie since Lara was born, so I'm sure this list would change.  I'm still trying to see last year's Academy Award nominees!

12.  Favorite Color - Purple

13.  Favorite Song/Artist - I love Sting!  "Fields of Gold" is one of my favorite songs.

14.  Tell us a funny story about yourself. - Hmmmm, this was the hardest thing to think about.  It's funny now, but when it happened, I was mortified!  I was 12 years old and my family and I had gone down to Pensacola, FL to watch my brother graduate from the Navy's Air Officer Candidate School.  We were at a dinner that night, and all the CUTE Navy grads were there with their families.  I had on a cute blue floral dress with new dress shoes, and I was walking across the floor (which was one of those parquet-like dance floors) when I just slippped!  My feet went right out from under me, and I landed flat on my butt.  Dress went up, and my cute little Snoopy underwear was revealed!  Although the room was busy and bustling about, many people did notice.  Later that year at my brother's wedding, one of his fellow AOCS graduates/groomsman, said he remembered my big spill at the dinner.  I was soooo embarassed!

15.  What is the most exciting thing you have ever done? - Give birth to my daughter, no question.  That experience was indescribable.  Pain aside, now I understand how we women can do it over and over agian. I also interned at Paramount Pictures in Hollywood when I was a senior in college.  Man, that was fun!

16.  If you won the lotto, what would you do with the money?  Pay off our debts, buy a nice house, take my whole family on a vacation to the beach somewhere, take my husband to Ireland.  I'd also set some aside for my children and donate some to Cancer Research.

17.  What are you most proud of?  My daughter and my family.  And even though it's fairly common in this day and age, I'm proud of the fact that I graduated college and am a responsible adult who can take care of herself.

18.  Any other tidbits about you that you would like to share?  Come on..... I'm a TV junkie.  The television is on in my house all the time.  I'm not always watching it, but it is a nice "companion" when I'm doing stuff around the house.  My husband doesn't even need to consult the TV guide....he just asks me what's on for that night.  Some of my favorite shows are "Prison Break", "House", "Lost", "Grey's Anatomy", "The Office", "Desperate Housewives", and "Stargate SG-1" to name a few.

I'm not on my laptop right now, so I don't have access to all my photos.  I tried to do this write-up last night, and I was almost done and it shut off on me!   So if I get back onto my laptop today, I'll see what other pics I have.

Happy POD, Beth.  I hope your hubby, Lara, and Chilie take good care of you today.  I loved Eragon, but now I see I need to look for Eldest!   Stargate-1, too?  I say your scifi wings are growing!

I know, I'm becoming a sci-fi geek!  Another favorite show of mine, which is now off the air, unfortunately, was Farscape.  LOVE that show!  It's nice that the two main actors on that show are now on Stargate.

Happy Person of the Day Beth !!!!  I laughed when I read that you said you are a tv junkie - LOL - So am I and I forgot to mention it !!!!  I LOVE tv !!!!  Probably why I am so pudgie - HA !!!!  I love the Harry Potter books and wish she would hurry with the next !   What fun to intern at Paramount !  Thanks so much for sharing your life with us - I didn't know you were a twin - would love to see pics of you and your sister!

I too am guilty of having the TV on pretty much anytime I'm at home and awake.  I like you, am not always actually watching anything, but I keep it on for noise and "company" I guess.  You aren't alone there!
