Porky here: More excitment in our house....THE BIG FLOOD!!!!

Well we thought the citement was over for awhile in our house.  Boy were we wrong!!!  Momma and i went to bed wif daddy when he got home cause we couldn't sleep in da night last night.  We sleeped really good until....KABOOOOOM!!!  Only louder den dat!!   Den I saw momma and daddy go running down the stairs.   When i got downstairs,  I saw momm going like dis... and my daddy doing this..... :scratch:.  I decided to join momma and do this.... ....cause all the water gushing out scared me!   Daddy figured out how to turn da water off but not till we had about 2 inches of water in da kitchen, bafroom, and a little on da living room carpet.    :doah

Daddy says a pipe broked in da bafroom and dats what made da big noise and threw the water in our house.  At first i was scared cause momma was running around, den I realized...dis is da perfect opportunity.  SWIMMING IN DA HOUSE!!!! YIPEEE!!!   I ran and jumped in da baftub and started swimming cause it was full of water.  Boy dat was fun!!   

Den daddy got out da scawy fing that sucks up all da water.  (shop-vac) And den momma turned on da big fan in da living room and now it is cold!!!!   I fink we've had too much citement round here lately and hope it stops really soon.


Hi everybody!   We had been asking our landlord to come look at our plumbing because the water hasn't been working properly for a few weeks.  It runs for awhile and then goes off completely for a few hours.   Well I guess maybe this will get the lady in charge in a bigger hurry to fix it.  Supposedly the plumber is coming next week to fix it so we can use our water again.      I certainly hope he does.  Its going to get tiring walking all the way to our in-laws to take a shower and get water.   But, I'm trying to look on the bright side.....At least we have relatives that live so close that we are able to use their water in times like this.     Also, i'm thankful we were home when it happened.  We'll have to keep the fan going constantly for a few days until the carpet dries.  I'm just hoping that the carpet doesn't get moldy because i have very bad allergies.  i'm just ready for things to settle down around here.  They have been wild and crazy since we moved in!!

NEXT WEEK?!?!   Maybe you could suggest the landlord shut off their water in sympathy until your's is back up and flowing?

It is frustrating to have to wait until next week for water.  Our landlord lives in Illinois and might not even know what has happened yet.  He is a very nice man.   We rent through a real estate agency and they handle all the repairs and stuff for our landlord.   My husband and I were going to call him and see if he could get the agency to send someone sooner, but he has a mom who is dying within the next few days and we did not want him to worry about this too.   We are lucky to have our in-laws living four houses down so we are able to get water from them.  our next door neighbor is also letting us use their water when we need to.   

I'm still laughing at the remembrance of the look Porky had on his face when he saw all that water yesterday!!!   It was the funniest look, you could just see the excitement.   It still cracks me up that he ran straight for the tub and hopped right in.   Since the pipe was in the wall next to the bathtub, it was creating a nice waterfall down the side of the tub. LOL  Porky tried to drink the waterfall.   He has the goofiest personality!!
