Hello,

New member here that is presently without his dachshund. I regret to report that Field Marshal Erwin Rommel has passed over the Rainbow Bridge on October 27, 2006.  He was approaching 15 years old, we think, and had been suffering from kidney problems for the last few months of his life.   Finally, Rommel's kidneys just shut down and he was put to sleep.  Needless to say, that just totally broke my heart and still does. However, I also know it was better for him as he is young and healthy again chasing badgers!!

I sure do miss that long, little doggy!!

We are sorry for your loss.  If Rommel is your avatar, then he was a handsome boy.  Welcome to the board.
