Hi all.  I've missed you guys!  Things seem to be easing up a little bit here, and I hope I can check in more now.  Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers.

I had an ultrasound yesterday at 22 weeks and things are going really well.  Every measurement looked good.  We have a healthy, very energetic little girl on the way.  We are thrilled that she looks to be growing right on track despite the fact that I'm still 6 pounds less than my starting weight.  My weight is headed in the right direction now at least, but our little Squirt thankfully was getting all she needed.  We are planning on naming her Brooklynn Grace.

I've included some pictures for those of you who are interested.  Thanks so much for all the good thoughts you've been sending our way.  It means a lot to me and I'm so thankful.  We feel very blessed for this healthy little girl and hope that the extended family issues will clear up soon, so the whole family can enjoy this with us.

I'm so glad everything is going well. You will have tons of fun with a little girl in the house and I absolutely love the name. I, too, hope things clear up with the extended family, and everyone can enjoy this new little one when she arrives!
I'm sure you are glad that summer is almost over and the cooler weather is on its way!

Thanks Ladies!  We are really just thrilled to learn our Squirt is a healthy baby and is growing just perfectly so far.  Learning that she is a girl was a nice bonus though.  John has said from the start that he thought we were having a girl.  It's nice that we can stop arguing about boy names now too, since we completely could not agree on one.

As for the doglets: Rudy has grown even more protective of me.  He now barks if John enters the room I'm in with Rudy.  Before he just did that if John entered the house.  I think he'll be a bit put off when she is born because he is so bonded to me.  The other two really just enjoy snuggling even more than before and have been known to lick my belly if the opportunity arises.  I think Roscoe and Gwennie will have no problems adjusting.

It's good to hear the good news from your family.  Could Rudy be thinking this is his puppy and is telling John to keep his hands off?  If so, he may bond with the baby really quick.

Krista, I had no idea you were pregnant.   CONGRATULATIONS!!!!   I enjoyed seeing the pics of your little girl.  And what a beautiful name for her!  'Way to go you guys!!!

Krista

Thank you Patty.  We are thrilled beyond belief after really trying for awhile to conceive - I actually had a fertility testing appointment set up for April 26, but found out on April 9th that we were pregnant.  I had ovulatory problems and other cycle issues, so I was getting pretty frustrated, especially when all my friends turned up pregnant after a cycle or two during that time.

I'm just over 26 weeks along now and I have my next appointment on Friday morning.  I'm feeling okay and just trying my best to take good care of myself and this little girl on the way.  It's so hard to believe she'll be here in 3 months or so.

Once again I'm sorry I'm not here more. I can't check in from work anymore, and my evenings have been consumed with dealing with a family member who has some severe emotional problems and preparing for this baby.  It's been insane.

Krista, I apologize for not getting over here to congratulate you.  So....CONGRATULATIONS!!  A little girl, how wonderful!  I've been so busy lately but I'm gonna try to keep up with everyone here better.  Real life really takes a bite out of computer time....LOL.

Wishing you the best.  Keep us updated, okay?

Thank you Sandi!  Our doctor appointment went well on Friday.  I also had a Glucose Tolerance Test (to test for gestational diabetes, which is routinely done) on Friday, but don't know if I "passed" yet or not.

She is definitely growing, as evidenced by my growth in the pic below.

We've been working in the nursery a lot.  We've also registered at since our baby showers will be in October to avoid being during the holiday season.  Another reason to have them earlier than most people do is that several of my friends are due in November, and they want to be able to come.  We've got a lot done, but there is a lot left to do to prepare for Brooklynn's arrival.

Okay see if you see them now Barb.  I just saved smaller versions to my computer and attached them.  It worked for me to see them.
