Yes that's right as of Saturday Hemi has a brother. He is a fawn and white 7 week old English Bulldog. They are getting along well so far and love to wrestle  Teresa, I know that you have a bully and a dachsie, how do they do together?? Let me just say that between the three kids on summer break, Keith recovering from surgery and two puppies my life is CRAZY  LOL

OMG - he is too cute !!!!  I am sure Theresa will have some input as to how the kids work together.....
The only thing I would worry about as the puppy gets bigger and out weighs Hemi to make sure they don't get too rough with each other.  Just watch them closely.  Congrats!  What is the new puppy's name ?

Hemi - you and your brother are SOOOO cute !

Congratulations. You are going to have so much fun. The bulldog has a great personality. It is completely different from the dachshund, but just as entertaining.
We have had very few problems with the two together. Molly was already 5 when we got her, and I was really concerned about the size difference. The main thing I have to watch is when they are wanting to play tug of war. I will let them a little, but I really limit it since Schatzi thinks that she is the toughest one and I don't want her to hurt her neck. Molly is always giving Schatzi a bath and cleaning her ears and they are really best friends, but a really funny looking pair!
Because Schatzi was here first, even though she was only 9 months old when we got Molly, she quickly became the Alpha dog and still is. It is amazing to see Molly back down and give in to her, but she will every time. As long as you have a bulldog with a sweet temperament you will not have a problem. Have a great time with him. They are so comical and clumsy and they SNORE!!! LOUDLY!!! You will laugh so much, your sides will hurt. My main advice would be just to watch them when they play because I'm sure Hemi will be the one in charge and the bulldog may have to get used to it. Being a puppy should make it a little easier. Have Fun!!!

His name is Gunny.... can you tell my hubby was in the Marine Corp....LOL

Teresa thanks so much for all the input. I'm having so much fun with the two of them. I love listening to Gunny grunt and groan when I pick him up  :2funny: They seem to be connecting really well and Hemi has definently let Gunny know who the Alpha dog is. It's really comical to me to see this little 8lb weiner dog telling a 12lb bulldog what's what.

OMG he is just too CUTE!!! I love him. I hope we will get to see many photos of the two of them. I had a 24 lb dachshund and 150 lb great dane for several years together, they were best buddies and my Dane was so gentle with the doxie. I don't think you'll have any problems! Especially since they will be growing up together.

One of the funniest things Schatzi did, and this was when we knew for sure that she was in charge, was this-Molly had started to walk out of the room and Randy called her back in. Molly just stopped and stood there. Randy called her again. When Molly ignored him, Schatzi went around, got on her hind legs and put her front paws on Molly's chest. She proceeded to try to walk forward on her back legs and push Molly back into the room. Molly got the idea and came back in. Schatzi may only be
10 lbs, but bossing a 55lb dog is nothing to her! I just hope she remembers to always stick to the big dog she knows and not any other one.
