Hi I have a 7 month old Long Haired Miniature Dachshund red dapple name of Patches she is a hoot also have a 13 year old Papillon name of Gizmo husband has a cat PK renctly lost our 10 year old Bouvier Des Flanders Jake to bone cancer.
Have a lot of questions about Doxie's can anyone tell me how to groom theit feet? Patches has little tuffs of hair that stick up between the toes I have been trying to comb it but she really does not like it ? Patches will not bark when some one knocks on the door I find this very strange was told Doxie's are motor mouths? Of course I think since Gizmo is deaf that may have something to do with it Patches looks to her for direction I think since Gizmo is the older dog?After having a very good watch dogs for 20 years 2 Bouvier's it is very quite now really hope Patches will bark some day soon?

Wadda mean?  a doxie who doesn't bark at someone at the door ??? Well come to think of it ..... I don't bark .... I grab a toy and RUN to the door .... or POP out of the doggy door to greet them.  eLlIe
