Right now, We are feeding Porky Purina Pro Plan dog food.  It doesn't seem to cause him any rashes or bad side effects at all, but does contain some milk.   I am wondering if I should switch him to a food that contains no milk since we just learned that he is allegic to cheese and some milk products.  Or do you think he will be fine since it is only a small amount of milk in the food?   I asked the vet and she said that she didnt see a problem sticking to the food he is on now as long as there are no problems.  What would you do???  I have only seen Porky have problems when he got a larger amount of cheese so maybe I am worrying over nothing.  I just would hate to see him get that horrible itchy rash again!!

If Porky is doing fine on the food that he has been eating I would probably leave it alone.  Especially if his poor little belly has been upset.  Just avoid the cheese and heavy dairy...which you have been and he should be good.  You can always try something else down the road a bit if he has any problems.

Avoderm makes a great food for puppers with allergies. Petco usally carries it. Do an on-line search n the different foods and I'm sure you can come up with a good one. You may want to wait until he feels better to switch and then do it slowly. Gunner and Petunia are on Evo mixed with Natural Balance because Evo is high in protein--but they are a premium food.

If Porky seems to be doing well on the food you are currently feeding the why switch? Ole motto "If it ain't broke don't fix it"
