Today was too hot!!

Porky here:  Wow! I thought I was going to die from the heat today!!   I live in Nebraska and it got up to 105 today!!  We even had to sneak my buddy Peter in the house so he could cool off.  I heard it is supposed to be 102 so we are keeping our fingers crossed that our air condiotioning doesn't go out tomorrow.  It had a hard time keeping our house cool today!!  I found the coolest spot in the house.  I laid on the cold brick behind the wood stove all afternoon.  It felt so nice!!!  Momma wouldnt let me go jump in the lake today cause it was too hot to walk that far.  Maybe tomorrow I can go for a swim.

It was hot in San Diego too...about 105! Penny hung out in the air conditioned house all day! It is supposed to be hot this entire week. We had a Dachshund Meetup scheduled for this afternoon, but had to cancel due to excessive heat...Penny was bummed.

Weird! It was 105 here yesterday, but then, Bakersfield! We have even been known to have 99 degrees at midnight during July, our warmest month.  Keep cool, everyone!

Was the whole world 105?  we had that here in Montana as well!    Doxie doggies stayed inside as much as possible.  Even tho Ginger loves warm spots, outside was just too hot.  She came in and snuggled in her blankie.

Oh man, and I thought we had it bad here in Ohio.  It was 92 yesterday, 94 today, and it's going to be 96 tomorrow and Tuesday!  Of course, here in the Midwest, it's the humidity that kills us.  Our "heat index" makes it feel like temps are in the 100's.  Whew!  Our air conditioner is working overtime, just like everyone else's.  Stay cool, everyone.

We have been baking here in Texas too - 103-104-105.....and high humidity - ick !!!!

Pupper still like ot go out and cook for a short while and come in and their fur is SO hot !!!  We have airconditioning and all fans running !

In South Carolina the forecast has been for 94 degrees with a heat index of 106. I think we got above 94 yesterday and are certainly heading that way today. Molly and Schatzi both wanted to go and lay on the patio which is paved with BRICKS. I let them out there for a few minutes then called them back in. Molly wasn't happy, but she really can't tolerate the heat as well as she may think! I'm just hoping we cool down by next weekend when I take my parents and my niece to Nashville to visit Meghan.

Well, gag!  I just read the updated predictions for today, and we're at 91 at 11:16, and it is supposed to reach 111 today!  We'll be sweating buckets, AND we have rolling blackouts to conserve energy!   Gasp!  Wheeze! :idiot:

It was super hot momma cat kept comming inside and I felt horrible for the babies but they were under the plants all weekend and I had plent ofr cool water for them. Bish hates it when it is hot  yesterday wasnt so bad but we all (my parents and sister came over to swim) went swimming even Bish had his life jacket on and then he floated around on my sister's belly for a while. TOOOO HOT!!! My Hubby was wiorking with his dad in Veags this weekend he said at one point it was 120!!!!! No thank you!
