There must be a computer

  somewhere!  I booted up my old Compaq notebook this morning, just for the heck of it.  It crashed in summer of 2003, so I had tried several times to get it up and running, but all I got were funky screens.  Well, today, I had a screen I have never seen on any computer before, and it asked for a time and date input!  I did that, and lo and behold, everything came up!  I thought I had lost a lot of Brekke's baby pictures and the ones of Sorcha-Angel - back when I had a four-pack -  , but they were all there!  Now, I need to get them on a cd!  The Compaq is no longer on the 'Net.  I am so relieved about those pictures!!!

I am so glad for you! About 5-6 years ago I had alot of film developed and  was almost to the point where the store was gonna send it back if I didn't pick it up by a certain time;well when I ended up picking it up to my suprise there was one roll I took in and didn't remember taking a couple of pictures of my neice and her brother when my neice was helping my nephew with his bottle.Well today the 2 of them are 19(neice)&16(nephew)!

Oh man there is nothing like losing treasured old photos like that. SO glad you were able to get them back! We'd love to see some!

I would have to say there is definitely a computer angel somewhere.  For your computer to boot up again after such a long time....  Isn't that a great feeling to find pictures you thought were lost forever?  I found puppy pictures of Chilie a few weeks ago on a floppy disk I totally forgot that I had!
