I was twicked!!!!!

Sgt here:  This morning momma locked Libby up in the kitchen and got out my harness and leash.  I was so excited cause I was going out with out Libby.  Libby was really mad that she was not going with me.  I figured it must be a really special place that doesn't take stinky baby sisters.  Momma put me in the car and we dropped the kids off at school. Then.....she took me to the vets!!!!!  I can't believe it.  It was shot time.  Didn't I just get shots a year ago?  This is very unfair.  I got shots and my toes chopped!  Then Dr. D spent a lot of time playing with my little sore on my elbow.  She said it needs to come off!!  I hope she meant the sore and not the whole elbow!  She did say that I was beautiful and a very healthy boy!  Then I got a cookie for being so good, even though I cried when they held me for my toes.

Julie here:  Sgt had a very good check up.  He weighed in at 14 lbs of pure muscle.  He has a spot on his elbow that I noticed about 2 weeks ago.  It looked like a blood blister.  It has been growing and has split open and bled a few times.  The vet said that she thinks it is something innocent, but she is going to take it off on Monday and biopsy it.  They were quiet today and she was going to do it then, but I could not say 100% that he had not eaten anything that morning.  I was pretty sure he had not, but did not want to take the chance.  It will be a very quick and easy procedure, but they will have to knock him out to do it.  I will let you know how it goes.

Hey Sgt, this is Toby.  When you go to get da thing offin your elbow you need to remember to REALLY act like it hurts!  You can get a WHOLE lot of cookies out of this one!  You need to cry when the stinky sister comes near you and act like she's pickin on you....guess what?  ANOTHER cookie for you!  When it's time for bed give a couple little whines and give your mama the l@@k!  That's a cookie just waitin to happen!  Ders lots of ways of gettin extra cookies after you gets to go sleepy at the vets.  Let me know if ya need any more suggestions..... I'm gettin good at playin da mama!

That is a bummer when ya gotta go to the vets - but mommy just wanted to be sure you were ok !!!  Sorry you have to have a little surgery - I will be sending rays that all goes smoothly!!!  Sounds like you had an excellent report - sure hope you got some extra treats when you got home !!!!

Sounds like Sgt. had a good checkup, and I'm sure the surgery will go well on Monday.  Better to know what the thing on the elbow is rather than worry about it.  Please keep us posted.
