We moved!

We moved over on Saturday.  I don't have time to tell you all the details right now as I am pushing a deadline at work.  Moved the horses.  Friends helped walk them over.  The three elderly ones were a piece of cake.  I had Patches and she was just enough of a handful to make the one mile walk not so enjoyable.  Dan had Neeki and she was a total amped up wild horse.  Dan got kicked three times.  Dan is a very experienced horseman, but even the best of them get kicked.  Neeki is quick and limber and is able to whip that back end around before you know whats happening.

Willy and Alex are bewildered but are taking the move well.  Misty is having major separation anxiety whenever we leave the house.  We went to breakfast on Sunday morning, came home to find paint scratched off a door and trim in the laundry room where we left them.  We put pieces of plywood up against the door this morning and anchored it in place with the kennels.  We don't keep the doors on their kennels or crate the dogs, we are gone for too long a stretch.  Misty was whining her head off when we left for work, and I felt terrible leaving them, but what else can I do?   Misty has never had separation anxiety before, so I'm pretty sure its just because its a new place.

Brought our cat Pepper over yesterday, and haven't seen her since.  Hopefully having the horses there will help her realize that this is home.

For Dan and I, our new place went from being a house that was being built to OUR HOME overnight.  Its great to finally be there!!!  We had a beautiful sunny weekend with temps around 50.  We still have some stuff to move over, but not much.  The old house has another very interested party, so keep your fingers crossed.

Yeay!! That is great Patty. It doesn't seem real yet. Was it hard to leave the old place? Sounds like the four leggers are a little confused but I'll bet they will settle right in given a little time. (who wouldn't want to live there LOL). Congrats on making it into your new home!

Woo Hoo - can't wait to see pictures !!!!  Sending rays to the puppers so they stay calm during the day at the new place.  Just getting adjusted......did they stay in the laundry at the old house?

Congrats on getting moved! 
I'm sure the puppers will adjust to the new environment and settle down nicely.  Give them an extra treat before you leave and that might help!  lol

So wonderful that you're FINALLY THERE!  The kidz will get settled quickly, you wait and see. Kiss Misty for me.  Poor grrrrrrl.
