Clifford:  According to the official Dachshund Union Local 543 bylaws, when Dad is gone all evening I am still entitled to all the cookies I would have earned while on yard patrol.  Said cookies are payable upon demand.  And I demand.  Additional cookie interest may be (read:  wil be) assessed if said cookies are not paid out in a timely schedule.  If Dad has to stay up until 3 a.m. in order to pay out the cookies fines, so be it.

Dear Union members,

We don't want to have to go outside to get a cookie.  Should we re-write the bylaws so that we can get cookies without being tortured by inclement weather? 

How about cookies anytime we give the L@@K?  All supporters say "Aye!"

Porky here:  What's this union?  I think I need to join.  I could always use more cookies.  Momma made me stand in the cold snow last night until I went poo, can you believe that?!!!  And...when I came in freezing...All she did was wrap me up and give me a piece of kibble.  I would have liked a cookie so much more!  Guess I got more training to do.

 :thumb: Right on Brother Clifford!  We should appoint you as the grand poobah of the Dachsie Union!  You sure do know the rules real good!  Our mommy and papa only give us kibble when we do good things like going out for potties.  We kind of think that's cheeeep but what can a dogger do.  Ya gotta get what you can get, right?  Maybe we need you to come and tell dem the rooles.  And what's the use of being in a Union if ya cain't work the system?  Mommy and papa always tell us that we're workin' da system when we go outside but only stand on the porch and then come in demanding a cookie.....er....kibble.  We don't see anything wrong with dat, do you?

I think we should also establish rules for overtime and penalty rates.. eg. cookies accrue at the rate of time and a half if:

* parents go on leave
* going to potty in inclement weather
* chopped feeties
* doctor's visits
* needles
* teef cleaning... and the list goes on!

We hear you!!!  And these humans are so easy to train.  We scored frozen stuffed marrow bones this morning because of our howling and breaking out of the laundry room yesterday.  Even heard mom say that she will have to get more marrow bones to stuff so we can still have our evening bone.  Can you believe it?  Marrow bones morning AND night!
