Last night CNN's AC360 was broadcasting from NOLA.  Among the stories they presented was on about the animals still in a rescue shelter there.  They showed a beautiful dachsie/beagle mix named Cassie, who was being adopted by one of the rescue workers.  They also showed a blind kitty named Bob, who followed around her friend a large dog , also named Bob, by the sound of his jingling tags.  One of the most heart stirring stories was about a Pit Bull they named Red, ho had been hit by a car and was partially paralyzed, but due to the kindness of strangers Bob now has a cart and is back to playing ball.

The shelter is scheduled to close today, but all the pets are going to be taken  to other shelters and none of themh will be put to sleep.

I just had to share the story it was just too good to pass up.
